🎭 HAPPY TIDINGS!

The London 50-Hour Improvathon is BACK, and tickets are ON SALE NOW!

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth I commands you spend a hilarious (and delirious) weekend at the Pleasance with some of the world’s best improvisers 👑

🗓️ 12th-14th March 2027
📍 Pleasance London

🪶🪶🪶

Travel through time to Tudor England in the year fifteen twiggety-twoo (which is a real year) for a story of love, rivalry, ambition, and treason.

Expect scheming courtiers, charming urchins, gossiping innkeepers, spies, seducers and sycophants - and that’s just the cast.

We can’t tell you much more than that because we won’t know until the show starts.

Now in its star-crossed 17th year, The London 50-Hour Improvathon is the ultimate ‘you had to be there’ event.

🪶🪶🪶

Featuring stars of Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical and the legendary Comedy Store Players, alongside comedians, performers, up-and-comers and international guests throughout the weekend.

Traverse to the Pleasance this spring to (not) sleep, perchance to be very silly indeed.

🗓️ 12th-14th March 2027

EXTRA HOUR “ADDED BY CLOCKS” TO ACCOMMODATE ENLARGED GTI CAST.

Saturday 24th October 2026, 8.00pm
@hooplaimpro
@themiller.se1

@brattbomb, @danoimpro, @dylanmarkemery, me and @duncan.atkins.5.

In an already talent-engorged GTI cast, why not take the opportunity to see visiting impro O.G., Dan O’Connor, who’s over from L.A. to do a bit of teaching. We’re very excited to have our old chum on board.

State of Play’s Improv Night: Saturday 7 November!

In addition to our new monthly shows, @improvsundaes, each season we present a longer show with special guest act, and this time we are thrilled to announce that we will be joined by Grand Theft Impro!

Grand Theft Impro brings together an all-star cast of improvisers: clockwise L-R Ruth Bratt (Showstopper!, Comedy Store Players), Sally Hodgkiss (Comedy Store Players, Paul Merton and Suki Webster’s Improv Show), Phil Whelans (BBC Radio 4, Monkey Toast) and Dylan Emery (co-founder of Showstopper!, School of Night).

We are SO lucky to have them playing in Hitchin and you can get early bird tickets for an absolute bargain price of £10 + fees until 7 October.

Jonathan can write a sonnet but could Shakespeare improvise a musical set on a bin lorry? 🗑

Improvised by @jainscough85 (with let's say...encouragement from @dylanmarkemery)

Saturday September 12, 8.00pm, at @hooplaimpro at @themiller.se1

Why not stand at the door with a tear in your eye as you wave Summer off to wherever it is it goes - Australia probably - and slinks back some time next year - in the Summer, I expect - with a big bag of washing it expects us to do.

Wrapping up warm, moaning about the rain and reminiscing about all those wildfires and how much we miss them, will be @nellmooney, @dylanmarkemery, @aliciaxmugford and me. We'll be on with a Hoopla Teachers team. Come on down.
