South Africa photo dump. Many memories made, people met and weights lifted. Extremely thankful for this experience, it was everything I wanted and more.
Unfortunately I got barely any photos with all the new friends I made but I’m so happy to have met so many people just as passionate as me about lifting heavy circles. Till I see you all again ❤️

St John’s + Halifax (unplanned) 2026

Second place in the Men’s jr 120

First off I would like to thank my mother, my nonna and my girlfriend for taking on the trek of getting to this rock in the Atlantic Ocean. If it weren’t for my mother waking up at 3am to check on our flights after already being stuck in Halifax for a day, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to compete. I am very thankful for their support, whether it was Kassie keeping me from spiralling or nonna giving me half her pizza to carb load, I am thankful for my family.

Shoutout to @sumoslippers for another successful prep, the chud maxing was worth it after all. Thank you to @ian_adaptive.sp for getting me onto the podium, 9/9 27 white lights. @makeyourmark_fitness it was great to have some hometown support, the OG gym parents, Dave I really appreciate those potassium pills and that back massage in the back room.

Shoutout to @dylanpwr, @humphries_lifts and @ethanakermanlifts it was a pleasure to share a platform with you lads! I am excited to see what our jump to open will look like!

Anyways, on to the John again for NAPF

Nationals 2026🇨🇦

Squat: 255 (+12.5kg PR)
Bench: 197.5 (didn't re-feed as well as I would've hoped, but still a 2.5kg platform pr)
Deadlift: 285 (+5kg pr)

Total: 737.5kg (+20kg pr)

I had a lot of fun competing even though I was not in podium contention.

I'm thrilled with my squat progress lately. I was stuck at a plateau for the better part of a year, with 242.5 being my previous PR.

Deadlift came through in the last minute. 12 days out, I took 270, and it was extremely difficult. Being able to come through with a 5kg is huge for me!

Bench prep went very well until last week. I struggled with 200kg, which was a repeat of my week 3 bench. Tech went out the window, and I almost got stapled to the bench. Then came gameday, and I felt amazing after squat, so I thought it would carry over into my bench (it did not). I will learn from that mistake, and it won't happen again next meet.

Big thank you to @adamjansson74 for the best coaching I could ask for. Having a coach who is so involved in my training makes powerlifting more fun! I feel more motivated than ever to come back stronger next time!

I also want to thank @mallyproduceslift.66 for guiding me through nutrition leading up to comp and making the cut bearable! It was hard to manage due to external factors we couldn't control.

What a wonderful experience filled with joy, thrill, and beautiful encounters. It made me fall in love with powerlifting even more and reiterated my passion for the sport both as a coach and as an athlete.

I am proud to be Canadian, but I’m especially proud of being part of Team Canada, and this trip has made me even more patriotic than I already was🇨🇦

I’ll definitely be back next year for their quest to break records, aim for the top, and make us proud once again, showing that Canada is one of the top dogs in our sport called powerlifting🔥

Huge thank you to @canadapowerlifting and @ryan.fowler1 for this wonderful opportunity🙏🤝
