Fantastic evening @chipsteadgolf attending their charity fashion show in aid of the @dylanstrongfoundation. @laurahamiltontv presented the evening. Models were dressed by Becky @thefashionbasement. Canapés, fizz and shopping including the fabulous @thelostsheep.caterham, silent auction (my bid didn't win unfortunately 😂), raffle and brilliant entertainment. Well Child Awards 2026 Last night I had the privilege of attending the WellChild Awards ❤️ And I’m not sure I’ll ever quite find the right words for evenings like that. It was truly humbling, emotional and so very inspiring . I was completely out of my comfort zone, but sitting in that audience listening to the stories of these incredible children, young people, their families and the amazing nurses, I had this overwhelming thought that I still can’t believe our family is one of those families. Even after five years, it still doesn’t feel real. You hear stories of bravery and courage. Of families navigating hospital stays, treatments, uncertainty and a life they never imagined they would have to live. And then you remember that we lived that life too. That Dylan lived that life. ❤️ There were definitely moments last night that took me straight back, but there was also so much hope and positivity in the room, that you couldn’t help but feel uplifted ✨ WellChild does incredible work supporting children and young people with complex medical needs and the families around them. Hearing what they have achieved over the last 20 years was genuinely inspiring. And it left me thinking about The Dylan Strong Foundation. We are still such a young charity. We have so much we want to do, so many families we want to reach and so many things we want to change. Sometimes I get impatient because I want to do it ALL now. But last night reminded me that these things take time. And if we keep showing up, keep listening to families, keep fighting for better support and stay completely focused on why we started where could The Dylan Strong Foundation be in 20 years? That thought gives me so much hope. Because ultimately, everything we build is for Dylan and for every family sitting in a hospital room living a life they never thought would be theirs. ❤️ Thank you WellChild for a very special evening, and for reminding me just how powerful a mission can become when people refuse to stop believing in it. Today was a bit special. ❤️ Our very first Dylan Strong Foundation Walk and what an incredible day it was. Thank you so much to every single person who came along, walked with us, volunteered, donated, shared our posts and helped make today what it was. We say it often, but we will never stop being blown away by the support this little charity receives. Every person who showed up today helps us continue doing what we set out to do in Dylan’s name ❤️ supporting families whose children are going through cancer treatment and making some of the hardest days of their lives just that little bit easier. That is what today was really about. Seeing so many people walking together, chatting, laughing and supporting something that means so much to us was incredibly special. And considering this was our first walk, I think we can safely say it won’t be our last! We’re already talking about the next one and how we can make it even bigger and better. 👀❤️ A huge thank you to Denbies for having us and helping us bring today to life, and to everyone behind the scenes who gave their time to make it happen. And finally, thank YOU for continuing to stand behind Dylan Strong. What started from the most unimaginable heartbreak continues to create something incredibly positive in Dylan’s name. One thing that people don’t always see about life in hospital is the kindness that keeps families going through the hardest days. The fridge in the ward is filled with smoothies, drinks and snacks thanks to the incredible Dylan Strong Foundation. It might seem like a small thing, but when you’ve spent days or weeks by your child’s bedside, forgotten to eat, or don’t want to leave the ward, it means so much. This charity has been there for us for years, through more than one chapter of Summer’s journey. Their support has never wavered, and neither has the kindness of its founder, Louise, who I’m incredibly lucky to call a friend. She has supported us and so many other families when they needed it most. When your world has been turned upside down, it’s the people and charities like this that remind you you’re not facing it alone. Thank you, Louise, and thank you to everyone who supports the Dylan Strong Foundation. The difference you make isn’t measured in smoothies or snacks it’s measured in the comfort, care and hope you give to families during some of the darkest days of their lives. 💛
