POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We at BBU are disgusted to hear about the violent assault of Jane Doe perpetrated by 7 fraternity bothers and all those who didn’t step in on Cornell’s campus in 2024. In learning more about this situation and hearing stories of women’s experiences we have decided we must do something to contribute to the necessary change we need to see.

It is important to us to encourage men to ask themselves and each other,
“what happens when we stay silent?”
“What does keeping women safe actually look like?”
“How can we as men hold each other accountable and call out sexual violence when we see it?”

We will be selling tee shirts we’ve designed with a number 78 on the front representing the number of women who are sexually assaulted every hour, along with a bear and the quote “I’d choose the bear too...” printed on the back.
We believe encapsulates the important conversation that men need to engage in right now.
100% of the proceeds will go to the @svrc.bluegrass and we hope this sparks an important conversation about the responsibility of men to keep women safe!

The link to buy these shirts will be in our bio. The fundraiser will begin on Sunday OCT 4 and will go on until Monday OCT 19 and shirts will be delivered after the fundraiser closes. If you do not wish to purchase a shirt but still make a donation, there is an option for that on the link as well!

One year of converging together is actually crazy!

We want to give thanks and show love to all of our homes, teachers, artists, creatives, and healers that have contributed their talents, skills, and spaces to the community over the past year.

It has been an imperfect but beautiful journey that we think reflects the more realistic human and community experience: just showing up, figuring out things as you go, trying new things, working through feelings of self-doubt and awkwardness… through the discomfort we get the chance to connect, learn and grow more deeply together. Thank you for being apart of the process with us 🌀

We’re going to do our best to tag everyone here, so once we max out on tags we will post to the comments. We encourage everyone to give these folk a follow and support their journeys with convergence and beyond!

We love welcoming new friends into the collective, so if you or somebody you know that would want to be apart of the next year of Convergence, please tag them below or send us a message!

Amongst other things, we will be cooking up a Google survey and potentially a small gathering to hear from our community and reflect on the past year; what has went well, what can be improved, and what we can add to the experience and intention of convergence to make it more socially inclusive, sensitive, and functional.

Thank you for one year 👊❤️

So happy to finally share some moments from Summer Convergence!! This is just a small glimpse into the hot day we spent outside together moving, creating, and connecting. If you missed out, don’t worry, we’ll be back in the fall with some (hopefully) cooler temperatures and spooky vibes 👻

We are always so thankful for the new faces that find their way to convergence, and the ones that continue to show up; whether that is through your hosting, teaching, creating, playing, or attendance, we are grateful!!

What makes convergence special is the familiarity of the people who are apart of these events, while also welcoming in new faces each and every gathering. Our intention is to be the meeting point where this can be a place to foster a sense of belonging and community to people as they get to create, move, heal, and build new relationships, and find other smaller communities to explore.

We will post more photo’s as they come (please send in anything from summer convergence) and be on the look out for our fall convergence date :)

THANK YOU! 🌀❤️

Summer Convergence schedule just dropped🤲🏻

We’ve got a packed day of music, movement, and creativity; these are some of the best catalyst’s for bringing a range of identities together to create and foster community, relationships, and connection in a way that is inclusive and accessible (it’s free and fun too)

We will have:

a diverse lineup of sound that will progress throughout the day into the higher realms of tempo 🌀

2 opportunities to explore your body through yoga flow and movement.

2 workshops designed to encourage connection with the community and with your inner creative.

1 community art space that’ll be open all day.

1 lollipop 🍭 stage for those brave enough to dance!

This is a safe and inclusive space for ALL ages, races, sexes, genders, sexual orientations, and physical/mental abilities. We do not welcome or tolerate haters, bigots, misogynist’s, homophobes, racists or the like! 🫂

In the coming days we’ll be sharing more details on the local teachers, vendors, and artists who are helping make summer Convergence happen and what you can expect 🙌🏻

Talk to you soon!
