Going lighter when you have fine thinner hair has its benefits! It can give more texture to the hair, and it can create the illusion of fuller hair by reflecting more light and making the scalp less noticeable.
@e_milyanne had virgin hair, which is definitely ideal for going blonde when you have fine, thinner hair.
Rocking the blonde bombshell beautifully! 💣💥✨️

Yoo-hoo! More butterflies coming, guys! 🦋

Big thanks for sitting through the whole thing Emily, a solid 4-hour session and totally worth it!
Lol. After looking it up, it seems to be a Blue Pansy (Junonia orithya) but honestly, who cares about the exact name when it turned out this good? 🤌🏻💙

I’ve lived a handful of lives, each under a different skyline.
St. Louis built my bones.
Kansas City cracked me open and handed me courage.
Florida (I still hate the heat) burned me down and built me back.
Virginia reminded me my mind is a garden worth tending.
And then, Colorado—
where I learned to hope with my whole chest.
To speak softly, yet still believe I’ll be heard.
To dream out loud and trust that life might just say yes.

These past two years rewrote me.
She (Colorado is definitely a she), in all her towering, tender glory, scooped me up when I was half-broken and breathed honesty back into me.
Made me whole.
Made me real.

Here, I realized family isn’t always blood—it’s the people who show up when you’ve got nothing left.
The ones who hold your hand through the breakdowns, remind you you’re still lovable, and ask for nothing in return.
I’m so deeply grateful for the people who have loved me so well.

I’ve learned that grief doesn’t disappear, but it does change shape.
And if you’re lucky (or broken enough), it becomes love in action.

I love Juniper every time I say her name.
Every time I spot a berry on a trail.
Every time I hold Darla or Lulu—just a little tighter.

In Colorado, I published my first poetry book.
Started a blog that kept me afloat.
Fell hard. Lost harder.
Deepened my connection to my body until it felt like prayer.
Emceed for @sofardenver and remembered how much I love a mic and a room full of strangers-turned-friends.

I learned that softness is strength.
That letting go can be self-respect.
That sometimes, you leave a place better than you found it—even when that place was you.

Now, in an adventure so poetic it makes me cry (and I do), I’m headed to Oregon with my love and our girls.

Thank you, Colorado—for the lessons, the losses, the love.
I’m not the same girl who arrived, and that’s exactly the point.

Short & Sweet Times in Chi Town ✝️

CHICAGO! Last week I attended a precast concrete conference, took an architectural history boat tour, side quested my way to a Justice and Kaytranada show by myself, caught up with some lovely friends and thrifted the faux fur coat of my immediate dreams...all in 48 hours work.

✨️Thanks 4 the nitty gritty, windy city! 🌭
