Well yesterday was incredible!! I know it’s one I’ve been going on about a lot, BUT I truly feel so lucky that I got to read this book in a readalong with @bookbreakuk and a group of wonderful (if slightly unhinged) readers which ended in a Q&A with V themselves. To then sit in a room with V and hear them talk in about Bones in such a visceral, beautiful way emphasised my love for this book even more. All the vampiric lore, the book coming from a place of freedom and what life would look like if you removed that fear and so many other beautiful details (yes I did take notes ok!!). Oh and of course this LOVELY bracelet made by @ea_sanderson 🩶The best evening🩸🕯️

"I can't think of a greater power than the absence of fear." - V.E. Schwab

Had a wonderful evening at @waterstonesnotts with @veschwab and Dhonielle Clayton, to celebrate the release of Victoria's new book - 'Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil' 💙

This was one of my most anticipated releases for 2025, so I just had to go along to this! It was amazing getting to hear the author talking about the book, what it means to her, why she wrote it, etc. And to have both authors on stage talking about their craft (in-between all the unhinged shenanigans of course 😂). There were some really great questions from the audience as well, that made for interesting discussions (and further hilarity!).

Thank you to both authors for taking the time to sign so many books! Love the extra touch of the tour-specific embossing stamp Victoria used on Bury or Bones too. And thank you to @torbooksuk for the release swag - that tote bag is incredible! 💛

Kudos to the staff at Waterstones for always making these events a smooth and fun experience. And I've gotta give a shout-out to @ea_sanderson, who kindly gave out soooo many handmade friendship bracelets! I adore the one I received and shall be wearing it with pride (pun fully intended) 🌈

Tour Diary, Entry Sixteen.
Nottingham

There’s something quietly perfect about tea on a train—steam rising, countryside unfurling, a kind of calm stitched between cities.

We arrived to gifts—a hand-painted Bones tote, a box of chocolates, and toxic vampire friendship bracelets—a perfect welcome.

The conversation was a joy-Dhonielle Clayton is one of my dearest friends, and sharing a stage with someone who knows your heart is its own kind of ease.

Ended the night with a mocktail in an old church that’s been turned into a bar, which feels like some sort of poetic full circle.

Down to the last chapters now. Up next, Manchester!
