“There’s something so calm about this apartment - but then you have this view which is so alive. It’s so rare to get a sense of space in London, with a feeling of light and being able to breathe - while also being able to enjoy the city and all it can offer culturally. Until I got to work and live here, I didn’t understand that’s the biggest luxury you could ask for.”

-Alex Eagle, Creative Director of St. Clement and 180 The Thames

A room of curated objects that feels more like a home than a hotel at @st.clementlondon

Layered, laid-back and inviting. I’ve got a soft spot for the resin and teak tables.

At @st.clementlondon, @eagle.hodges let green move through the interiors in different shades and strengths. Chartreuse in Café Clement gives way to a deep bespoke carpet in the lobby, developed specifically for the project and inspired by British gardens. The greens are not matched, but allowed to sit together, giving a familiar English reference a sharper, more unexpected expression.

TOTT: St Clement London - one of London Fashion Week’s hottest new venues last week, the location hosted British-Nigerian designer Tolu Coker’s latest collection presentation and Burberry’s exclusive after-party.

Overlooking the Thames, St. Clement is the new project by Nick Jones, founder of Soho House, built around a clear idea: rethinking the hotel experience from the things that genuinely make a stay enjoyable. Designed by interior designers Eagle + Hodges, it reinterprets the grand English hotel through a more relaxed and contemporary language. Infused with warm materials, curated artworks, and vintage furnishings by George Nakashima and Jean Royère, spaces throughout 180 The Thames and St. Clement honor a tradition of quiet craftsmanship—cultivating an ambiance closer to a private residence than a hotel.

These iconic pieces, sourced by @eagle.hodges, showcase the late designer’s handcrafted approach. Built from slabs of cherry, East Indian rosewood and American black walnut, they embody the passage of time, shaped by nature and history. Creative partners Alex Eagle and partner @sophie_hodges_ chose a mix of vintage with their own Eagle & Hodges designs for the space.
