We waited for 3 hours for one ride on the Eagles Mere Toboggan. Was it worth it? Emphatic yes!

Here’s the full ride from my perspective as we hit 34 MPH with a total of three grown ass adults on the sled.

I’ve been hearing about this tradition for years. So happy I was finally able to do it.

Every year, my friends rent a house for a month in Eagles Mere.

And for the last several years I’ve gone up to Sullivan County to spend a couple days or a week hiking, reading, swimming and generally relaxing. Eagles Mere has a fascinating history and is referred to as “The Town that Time Forgot.”

On this year’s trip, I got a chance to check out some of the trails. The weather was perfect as the fog rolled over the lake and through the trails.

The columns at The DeWire Center are being transformed! In just 1️⃣ day, the permanent community mosaic will be complete. Come down to The DeWire Center tomorrow, August 6, 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 10𝙖𝙢-𝙣𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 1-4𝙥𝙢, as we conclude 𝘔𝘰𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘤 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 with tiling, painting and grouting. Recommended for everyone ages 8 and up.
