My studio neighbor and friend @earthenjoy needed a quick photo, so I took it as an opportunity to sneak a couple extra.

If you’re not familiar with her work, you should be. Beautiful forms, use of color, the right amount of whimsy and elements that are so precise, you wonder how a human hand created it.

Probably should swoop by and nab yourself a piece.

Vintage Vault moved to Friday. On purpose. 🌿
Because Monday is for admiring other people’s finds — Friday is for going and getting your own. Art fair, estate sale, thrift store, that vintage shop you keep driving past. The weekend is wide open. It’s about the hunt.
First up: one of my favorite pieces in the whole house. A flat matte, speckled vessel by local artist Joy O’Conner (@earthenjoy ) that I picked up at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden Art Fair a couple of years ago — the one that comes around every May.
She’s YELLOW, just like Greta. She’s flat. Almost too flat. Fresh stems, dried stems, she takes them all, and she lives in my bay window with a little museum putty underneath so a stiff breeze doesn’t take her out. 😅
Vintage Vault, Fridays now. Go find something good this weekend and come back and show me. 👇

I am beyond excited to welcome EARTHENjoy to the gallery! ✨

I first fell in love with Joy O’Conner’s work several years ago while visiting my family in Minnesota, and bringing EARTHENjoy into the gallery has been a long-time goal of mine. I’m so excited it’s finally happening!

Joy creates her work in limited batches, allowing her to focus on more detailed, sculptural pieces while staying deeply connected to the handmade process. Her work celebrates the beauty, character, and joy of objects shaped by hand, each piece thoughtfully made to bring a little more art into everyday life.

I’m especially obsessed with her 2D Vase Sculptures, hand-built from speckled stoneware to create the illusion of an impossibly thin, almost paper-like vessel. Each one is completely functional, holding water and naturally fanning out flowers while doubling as a piece of sculptural art.

And apparently you’re as excited as we are… we haven’t even officially launched the collection and several pieces have already been snagged by collectors! 💛

Come see EARTHENjoy in person at our Fall Open House on SaturdayC October 10, 10–3:30! Ill also link to my online shop in my stories!

I couldn’t join @madge__home group that did the artists way together a few months ago. But I’ve been doing it with @myavincentart & now @ecxcite 🤍 there’s a fine balance in creativity between having time alone & being immersed in community 👩🏻‍🎨

7 years 💨 I originally opened the shop and thought, if I make it one year and one year only, at least I can say I did it. Hoping my shop has the opportunity to keep on keeping on! I sure do love it here! And I love you all!

Come to our party this Saturday! @barbsbreakfastbar will be here! Plus it’s our last market of the year 🤠

P.S. it’s Bookstore Romance Day at @popficbooks_oma Saturday as well 🫶

@thegreenhouseomaha has a flower crown workshop too!

I love being next to my sweet friend @earthenjoy at art fairs and I love how our outfits coordinate without even trying. Thank you for braving the heat and 90% humidity this weekend to visit us at @edinaartfair. We will both be @minnehahafallsartfair next, July 17-19. TBD on if our first match again.
