The trails hold the best conversations of my life.

I laced up Mark’s shoes and covered 200 miles through the Pennsylvania mountains in his memory at @worldsendultra @easternstates100 .

Every mile on that trail is a conversation I wish I could have again, and a reminder of the ones that still matter right now with the people in front of us.

Mental health struggles don’t always look loud. Sometimes they look like a friend who shows up, talks, and seems fine. Ask anyway. Sit with the discomfort of the question. It might be the conversation that changes everything.

Warning: if you ask me to pace you in a race I’m going to sing Alice In Chains the whole time. 14+ hrs or rumbling around in the woods and sing the same four sounds on repeat and listening to night sounds. Congrats on the hundred Drew, well have to swap places for next year

Capturing the pure essence of the human condition is the passion I carry behind my photography. It always has been. As the onlooker at @easternstates100 I watch as people actively choose to lean into discomfort, to rely on those around them for support and guidance, and dig deep within themselves to push on through everything in the moment that is working against them. Ultramarathons give the truest reflection of who we are in real life. Do we want to succumb to every little thing that life throws at us? Or do we stand tall, focus on our “why,” and continue to pursue relentless forward motion, one step at a time? You are my people. As I sift through these photos, each and every one of you continues to gift me with the life messages I so desperately needed to remind me who I really am. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.❤️❤️❤️

Had a great week in the Pine Creek Valley! I volunteered for the overnight shift at Tomb Flats for @easternstates100 , visited @pennscave , and got some running and hiking done. The times have been tabulated, the sheets have been spread, and the website reworked to seamlessly integrate with your phone for better viewing pleasure. So now it's time to announce the Pennsylvania Triple Crown King and Queen and release the list of those who successfully earned their coveted spot among giants.

Congratulations to all those who survived long enough to complete the season long campaign in the Pennsylvania mountains. From the first brutal climb up Humble Hill to the View to the final descent of Panther Run at Eastern States 100, you made a remarkable journey that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

Not only did Kaylee Frederick come in second overall at Worlds End and then dominate with an overall win at Eastern States 100, she also routed the entire PATC field with the fastest accumulative time by roughly 4.5 hours faster than second place. If anyone had doubt of her legend status in running mountain ultras, there shouldn't be any now. Congrats Kaylee for being Queen of the Mountain this year!! It was a blast watching the women's field this year put in some seriously spectacular racing.

Starting off the season with a strong showing at Hyner 50k, followed with a big win at Worlds End 100k, Jesse Stauffer capped the season with another hard fought W at Eastern States 100 earning him the title of King of the Mountain for this year's PATC. What's impressive is that the top 5 men for the PATC were within an hours time of each other which means any falter or surge between those participants could have easily shaken things up in the end. Congrats Jesse on the massive accomplishment!

Huge shout out to Kyle Benjamin to being the first runner to triple the PA Triple Crown! He also has 5 Black List finishes on his resume!

Eastern States 2026 part 1.

What a blast this past weekend was. It was definitely hot, very humid & less than a 50% finish rate. 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ i got to pace Carre for 20 miles again this year from Hyner to Tomb Flats as ahe ran the full 103 miles.

We got to see snakes 🐍 , frogs 🐸 & lots of mushrooms 🍄. The course is a mix of mountains, rocks, mud, & a tough combination of fun & suffering. I went out there with some good friends who also paced. This year though, I goy to know many other participants quite well. Especially after going to the Eastern states blackout back in June.

I only got to take maybe 1/10th of the photos that I would have wanted, but the whole experience was much needed, but thats because we were running and I just cant be taking pictures the entire time or i'd be playing catch up the whole time 🙄🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️.
