Sandwich Surfaces

At @eatswich we had the tough task of creating tables befitting of the sandwiches they were to hold. To do so, we designed these from scratch as a suite of raw and refined shapes. A folded rectangle, a solid cylinder and a circular disc are welded and galvanised to form the base. Above, a machined acrylic top is suspended, tapped to the underside and inset with a cast panel for dining

Lunch out of the office, or a catch-up after it. @eatswich is open from 10am–9pm for sandwiches, salads, a glass of wine and a seat in the spring sunshine.

Spring is in the air, daylight savings is back and alfresco season has officially begun. Longer lunches, golden hour drinks and dinner under an open sky. See you outside at Wunderlich Lane.

EP05 - trying viral food and talking shop @eatswich

Comment below your guess for how many s’wich schnit’s you would need to eat to equal a 5% deposit on a 850k place in Sydney (excluding purchasing costs) - first to guess right or the closest will get one delivered to them!

sound plays a key role in our S’WICH experience.

when approaching the design of our surry hills store, we wanted the space to feel sensory, not just through what you see, smell & taste, but through what you hear & how it makes you feel.

working closely with @studioshand & our in-house sound engineering team, we built the system around a pair of sourced vintage spica tc-50 speakers, driven by a 1970’s pioneer sa-5300 stereo amplifier.

the system is a modern reimagining of the original tc-50 design with the addition of a high-frequency horn to enhance crisp, extended highs, while bringing greater clarity & warmth to the room.

together, they create an immersive listening & dining experience.

for us, sound is another layer of flavour.
