hi everyone. obviously i’m late to posting about cli. this one’s been hard for me to make. i went back and forth on what i wanted to post, but i decided to go with some pictures throughout the year that i think really summed up my experience.

yes, cli was about dance. we were dancing every single day, pushing ourselves, learning, failing, trying again, and growing in ways i didn’t even realize at the time. but for me, it was so much more than that. it was the sisterhood i built with my roommates (+ caroline). it was the late nights, the laughs, the hard days, the little moments in between. it was learning to appreciate the little things about the world around me and finding joy in places i normally wouldn’t have looked.

i learned how to be resilient. i learned how to take care of myself, how to keep going when things felt hard, and most importantly, how to give myself grace. i learned that growth isn’t always pretty, and that sometimes the biggest changes happen when you feel like you’re not changing at all.

i have endless love for the people i was blessed to be around every day. the people who made the hard days a little easier, the good days even better, and this year something i’ll carry with me forever.

cli is HARD. there were days i questioned myself, days i felt exhausted, and days when i wondered if i was capable of doing it. but somehow, i kept showing up. and looking back, i can say that every hard day was worth it.

i look back at my old pictures of baby maya, and i realize just how far i’ve come. i’m proud of that girl for dreaming big enough to get here. i’m proud of the girl who kept going even when she didn’t know where it would take her. and most importantly, i’m proud of myself.

thank you cli, for giving me more than i ever could’ve asked for. thank you for the memories, the lessons, the people, and the version of myself i found along the way.

forever grateful for this year. 🤍

reminiscing on my time at cli, pt 1: I graduated!💐💐

being completely honest I’m overwhelmed with memories and things I would like to share from the past year of my life, but I thought the best way to start would be to share the people that have made this time incredibly special. It makes me emotional to think about how a year ago I knew no one in these pictures personally and now can’t imagine a life without them. God is so intentional with the people he places in your life at certain times, and these people are proof that God knows the fullness of our hearts and minds, perfectly aligning the purpose He has for us with souls that help guide us there. While what was built here will never be lived again in the same context, it brings me so much comfort knowing that the love and bonds I’ve built will never die out.

to my teachers, mentors, coaches, I could write a page for each of you, just know that the work you all put in day in and day out is changing lives, you each have something incredibly unique to share with this generation and I was so excited to come to the studio everyday and LEARN from each of you. thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart. 🫂💐✨ @teddyforance @nichols14 @riileywaatts @caseygonzo @stephshumway @jennip1021 @krysiastcyr @whosyourkuya @jwayno2 @saraholmesvoice

cy5, there was truly never a dull moment. every day spent with you all brought something new and exciting. I’ve never been in a space where I was consistently inspired, pushed, challenged, but most importantly supported throughout it all. the proof of that is in our craft, I grew because I LOVED the people I was growing and dancing with. how I will miss you all but I know there’s so much in store for all of you and I can’t wait to see where your journey leads you. thank you for everything 🫶🏽🙏🏽💐

@teddyforance what you’ve built has changed my life in so many ways. I know you hear it all the time but it’s truly unlike anything else and I’m so grateful I could be a small part of a legacy so great!!

more to share soon but that’s it for nowwwww, love you all forever🥰💐🙏🏽🫶🏽✨🫂

To the love, the joy, the laughter, the cries, to the encouraging pep talks, and late night conversations.

To the “see you tomorrow”, the “I love you goodnight”, the “we can do hard things”, “I’m proud of you”, “you got this”, “I beleive in you.”

To the constant support, unlimited inspiration, the hard work and dedication, to the long dance days where our brains were dead and feet were numb.

To the wild road trips, night outs, gym sessions, simple conversations and every little moment in between that made this experience what it was

But truly to the time and people that have let me be the most beautiful version of myself

Thank you
