I had a great day yesterday with my Pirate’s family at Meet The Team Day! I look forward to this event every year! I loved seeing all the guys again during the autograph signing! I also loved hanging out and talking to all the coaches! And there is nothing like getting a picture with the best Coach, not just in the Big East, but in all of college basketball, my guy Sha! I believe in basketball when you have good chemistry off the court, you will have good chemistry on the court, and that is what this team has! Pirate Nation, since the first time I have met this group, I feel that have what it takes to win a Big East Championship at Madison Square Garden and to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament! Fellas, it is time to get to work! Let’s go out there on the floor each and every night to prove not just to the Big East, but the whole country what Seton Hall Men’s Basketball is all about! I can’t wait for our scrimmage at Monmouth on October 24 and for our first game opening night home at The Rock against Saint Peter’s on November 2! Let’s Go Pirates! 🏴‍☠️ 🏀 #DDD #HALLin

Today is my 30th birthday!! Kinda scary and a bit exciting at the same time. There was a time when I almost didn’t make it past 18, and yet here we are all these years later. I’m so proud of the person I’ve become and I know the younger me would be so proud too!

My 20s taught me you can’t put a deadline on the most important things in life. Everyone moves at their own speed. When you have big dreams some would call impossible, you can’t quit just because it’s not happening at the speed you hoped it would. And if it’s worth it, you keep going! I’ve stayed a kid at heart, kept my big heart and embraced my sensitivity as a superpower.

Some of my achievements from my 20s: I touched the 10ft rim at 5’6 despite healing from a life threatening illness. Due to these health challenges it took 5 years to touch it again and I’m still working towards that first dunk! I became my strongest, fastest, most athletic self! I started a podcast and became a content creator with speech challenges and have amassed over 10k followers across all platforms. I wrote my first book and started my T shirts.

I still have posts that get one like. I still have days where I wonder when my dreams will come true and days where I have no energy because I’m still healing. But no matter what I keep pushing and fighting through it all. I push through days when I feel like quitting because I owe it to myself to see everything all the way through. I try my best to appreciate where I am now vs waiting for where I’m “supposed to be.” I haven’t waited for things to be perfect to be happy and live to the fullest and that’s something I’m most proud of.

My life doesn’t look like yours and my timeline is way different. Comparing my life to someone else’s is useless. Even aging is different for every person. One person declines and accepts that as inevitable, I choose to get better over time. I’m far from finished, many great things to come. I will always be a kid at heart and never stop dreaming big.

I’m grateful for everyone who has supported me and made my life so special. From the best surprise party and celebrating with my family and friends, and even wishes from Fitzmagic, I am incredibly blessed
