🧟‍♀️ Vascular Necrosis opens this week. Preview tomorrow! Five years ago, Penelope died. Now she’s back as a reanimated zombie, trying to figure out how to make a life among the living. And there’s more to this queer zombie love story than meets the undead eye. In a new feature for the Georgia Straight, V. S. Wells talks with playwright Jordyn Wood about zombies, queer community, dark humour, disability, and the strange, tender world of Vascular Necrosis: “She has to take medication every day so she doesn't eat people…she also has to deal with the relationships of the people she left behind while also forming new bonds with people who can relate to her experience and finding community.” Read the full interview for a deeper look at the world Jordyn has created. “Vascular Necrosis breathes new life into zombies” — link in bio. 🧟 Vascular Necrosis Oct 7–18 | The NEST, Granville Island 🎟️ Tickets at touchstonetheatre.com Pictured: Gabrielle Nebrida-Pépin as Penelope. A little throwback to one of my favourite moments this year. 🎭 In May, I stepped on stage as Amanda Castle in "Criminal Genius", part of George F. Walker's "Suburban Motel". This experience reminded me why I love acting: creating a character, sharing a story and building something together with an amazing team. Forever grateful for this chapter. 🤍
