HempHomes.com crew has finished installing 863 cubic feet of hempcrete for the first permitted hempcrete structure in LA, CA. Very proud of these men for setting the standard for Hemp Homes. 8 working days with 83 hours cooked in on site and I’ll go into detail of the work that needed to be done prior on the guild. Follow HarryHemp3 on X for the Natural Build Guild spaces. We will be returning to plaster this project which means this customer gets the bronze package warranty of 10 years. Even though these walls are built for centuries, we have no problem backing up and monitoring the build as we collect data for further evidence of the superiority of hempcrete. Roman Hemp shields were used in this build as permanent forms we cast into. https://hemphomes.com/atwater-village #HempHomes #NaturalBuilder #CustomBuilder #Hempcrete

My precious Mama passed away on April 19th, 2026, in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, after living with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsonism for the past four years.

My mom was obsessed with me. Her love and devotion shaped my entire life. The kind of love you never question, only feel. From the moment she met Brooke more than 21 years ago, she embraced her just as fully, welcoming her with open arms and a full heart.

When our children came along, they instantly became hers, too. Being “Meme” was one of her greatest joys. She carried each of them close as babies, wearing them in carriers, holding them whenever she could. As they grew, she was always right there: reading stories, playing games, laughing, baking, and creating moments they’ll carry with them forever. She didn’t just love her family, she lived for us.

She had a gift for organization and helped others bring order to their lives, whether that meant refreshing a closet, preparing for a move, or simply knowing exactly what was needed and where to find it.

My Mom showed up, for her cousins, her friends, and in the small, thoughtful ways that made people feel special. She had the biggest heart and moved through life with humor, resilience, and joy. Toward the end of her life, when asked if she was tired, she smiled and said, “No, I’m ready to party.”

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on May 17, 2026 in the Lou. We invite people to wear purple in her honor, as it was her favorite color. 💜💜💜💜💜
