Day 2 at @cultgathering 👏🏻 I couldn’t believe how much information I was able to soak up in one day! As a producer, creator and marketer, I’ve taken so many learnings out of this 3 day event. Not to mention the incredible people!!

Preparing for and participating in this AeroPress Championship showed me how much I still have to learn, both as a barista and as a person. This journey helped me learn more about coffee, reflect on myself, and grow.
I’d like to thank everyone who made this special experience possible.

Thank you to @eclipsecoffeeroasters for the coffee and venue at the Alberta Regional Championship in Canmore, and @funk.coffee_ for the coffee at the Canadian National Championship. I was happy to practice with such delicious coffee.

Thank you to all the judges for your hard work, to MC @commonlycoffee and @christine.rollings for the great atmosphere. Special thanks to @eightouncecoffee for organizing the event and supporting coffee culture in Calgary and across Canada.

To all the competitors, I want to express my respect and gratitude. I was happy to compete alongside you. Seeing how much everyone cares about coffee in their own way inspired me and taught me a lot.

And my amazing crew! @jiridavid_ @borisrock98 @saabbbbbs , my dear friends and coworkers, thank you for always supporting me and helping me grow as a person. @sarahslaughterart and Anna, thank you for coming to cheer me on. I’m so thankful to have friends who seemed even happier about my win than I was!

To everyone else who cares about and supports me, congratulated me, or worked behind the scenes, thank you, even if I can’t name you all.

One moment I especially want to remember is seeing people stay until the very end, whether they competed or not, applauding every competitor and enjoying the event together. It reminded me how much we all love coffee and how it brings people together. Because of moments like this, it became more than just a competition to me. Thank you to everyone who stayed.

This was my first AeroPress Championship, and I still can’t believe the unexpected result. Thanks to @aero.press , I learned a lot and made memories I will never forget.

I hope my sincere thanks come through in these words. Thank you again to everyone who was part of this journey.

Now I’m going to Mexico to learn more, enjoy more, and make more special memories.

See you in Mexico!

Wowza! Another summer for the books!

While we are feeling quite tired and ready to slow down a bit, we can't help but feeling thankful for all of you, for coming back over and over and patiently waiting in these crazy lines ... the support of our community is what makes us wake up every morning! But most importantly, none of this would be even possible without our amazing staff- working through these long summer days and short staffed times, always thriving to give their best for the quality of food and service standards we've set. We're so proud of our small, but mighty Epi.C team! Also big shout out to all our suppliers and partners, we couldn't have that level of quality without you!

Happy Thanksgiving y'all, from our family to yours!
🌾❤️🤙

Beautiful fall day in Canmore. The leaves are starting to turn, and the whole town just slows down a bit. Honestly one of the best times of year to be out here taking it all in. 🍂🍁

My absolute favorite time of year in the Rockies 🍂

Coffee from my favourite cafe (@eclipsecoffeeroasters), walks along the river, and exploring mains treat while the colours change and the peaks become dusted in snow.

I only wish fall out here could last longer than 5 seconds 😩

My coffee recommendation today is the Joia Rara Brazil from @eclipsecoffeeroasters.

The producers are the Barbosa Family (@dbarbosacoffee), in the Cerrado Mineiro region, in Carmo do Paranaíba, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The coffee is of the Acaua variety, made by the anaerobic fermentation process, and located between 950-1100 m of altitude.

I made the coffee using the Hario V60 in the proportion of 8 g/100 ml and it resulted in a tasty, smooth coffee with low acidity and a bit of fermentation.

The roaster is in Canmore, Alberta, Canada.
