NO TO CORPORATE GREED, NO TO HIGHER RATES, NO TO THE DOMINION/NEXTERA MERGER Really proud to stand with @ecocityalx , Councilman Chapman, Del. McPike, Rep. Vindman, our allies in Arlington, the rest of my Council colleagues, and YOU in opposition to the Dominion/NextEra utility merger. A few business interests showed up to speak in favor—but if you paid attention to who spoke against, it was the People and their representatives. For our physical, environmental, and economic health.

The SCC sent a hearing examiner, instead of the decision makers, to hear the 50+ speakers against the Dominion/NextEra utility merger—including Congressman Eugene Vindman, your elected councilmembers, and Virginians like you. We proudly joined them, our Office of Climate Action, and our allies in Arlington in rejecting this merger out loud anyway. We expect the commissioners to receive our remarks, verbatim, from the court reporter.
