One team, one marathon, and a whole lot of fun. 🤍

We’re so grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support meaningful causes, make new friends, cheer each other on, and enjoy the effort along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day so much fun! We loved sharing this experience together and can’t wait to be back next year.

2025: a year of resilience, community, and rediscovering my sparkle ✨

✴️ Finding my way back 🖤
I re-found my love for running while navigating grief and health challenges. The fog lifted slowly, but friends and running partners kept showing up—getting me out the door when motivation was hard to find.

✴️ Run community, always 👟
Run clubs (@brooklin_beer_runners), familiar routes, new adventures, and the people who make every mile better.

✴️ Giving back 🙌
Volunteering at Parkruns (@whitbyparkrun) and local races, cleaning up local running trails (and celebrating with some cold brews from @athleticbrewing ) helped me stay connected to the running even when hard training wasn’t possible, and gave me an opportunity to express gratitude for all that running has given me.

✴️ Fewer races, meaningful results 🏅
Only one official race for me in 2025 (and the first year in 8 years I haven’t run a marathon): The @niagaramarathon. I listened to my body, dropped from the full to the half—and surprised myself with an age-group podium 🏆

✴️ New challenges 🚴‍♀️
Swapped some run kilometres this year for a 200km Ride to Conquer Cancer with the @thepmcf Ride to Conquer Cancer, riding in honour of my dad and raising funds for life-saving research.

✴️ Miles with music 🎶
Rediscovered a love for The Beatles and included lyrics as my @strava status for every solo run as a quiet way to remember and run with my dad.

✴️ Gear that delivered 👟
Broke in my first pair of @brooksrunningca Glycerin MAX (so cushiony!), a new set of ‘magic / race slippers’ (Nike Alphafly), as well as @flokycanada arm sleeves and Run Up + S-print socks—trusted for both runs and rides.

✴️ Championing inclusion 💙💛
Continued to support #Runner321, celebrating milestone parkruns and inaugural races @ajax.waterfrontrace), and proudly guiding my daughter in her 1km @achilles.canada St. Patrick’s Day run.

✴️ Fun with fashion 🎽
Lots more flashy fits, themed runs, and some matchy-matchy fun along the way.

2025 reminded me that progress doesn’t have to be fast to be impactful. Here’s to an even better, brighter and hopefully healthier 2026 to come! 💪🏻💫

One year ago today in Paris, I stood under the Eiffel Tower, bib in hand, grinning like a kid. I’d flown halfway across the world for the Marathon Pour Tous — to run the same course as the Olympic marathon, surrounded by thousands of runners from every corner of the globe.

I couldn’t have imagined all that the next year would hold — the adventures, the surprises, the challenges.

This photo captures pure excitement, right before one of the most unforgettable running experiences of my life. A reminder to say yes to the big adventures, soak in the moments, and keep chasing the start lines — wherever they are. 🗼🏃‍♀️

One year ago today, I boarded a plane to Paris for an unforgettable adventure — the Marathon Pour Tous at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. 🇫🇷🏃‍♀️

⚠️Warning: I can feel an incoming photo dump coming on… So apologies in advance (sorry, not sorry) for the trip down memory lane.

Paris was everything — the run, the people, the moments that still feel like magic.

A lot has happened since then. (#understatement) The past year brought highs, lows, and challenges I didn’t see coming. But looking back reminds me how important it is to keep saying yes to the things that make you experience joy and feel alive.

Got out early to beat the heat. 🏃‍♀️🥵

👩‍🦰☀️Today’s forecast includes another heat warning - and being a ginger, I crumple under hot temps and humidity.

Heat aside, today’s highlight included another run with @ecolinmcquade where we continued our catch-up conversation about all things running, training, run clubs, and… reminiscing about our trip last August to participate in the #marathonpourtous at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

While we weren’t as fast as the F1 drivers from the movie I saw last night (it was a nice easy pace today), we DID observe a few wannabe racers and a near-miss crash on our run this morning. 🏎️💥

So happy to have participated today. I haven’t been in any races for years but it sure felt great to get back into it. It was hot and sunny and seemed hard but I reminded myself “We can do hard things”!

I hope my story inspires you to follow your dreams, my dear little one.

Many times, I wanted to give up teaching yoga. I would cry and feel sick to my stomach at the thought of speaking in front of people. Self-doubt crippled me…

But something greater—a higher power—kept pushing me forward.

And I am grateful for that, and so happy I never gave up.

Because this dream has taken me to beautiful places across the country. Introduced me to incredible souls, and friends I now call family. It has led me to becoming a lululemon ambassador, and given me the courage to face my fears & trust in myself.

But more than anything, it led me to you 🤍

2025 has started off with a wicked lululemon campaign called “ No holding back” where they outfitted the ambassadors with something they don’t normally wear and to try something new. ( Turns out I wear everything at lulu! ) The campaign is initiated by lululemon but followed through by the incredible community specialist @karen.l.maxwell.7 who is such an inspiration and leader amongst the community. Karen is always reassuring the staff that keeping your body in motion is important, both for physical and mental clarity.

Leadership starts at the top! You want a strong community, then lead a strong community.

It’s a great kick start to a full year of personal, mental and business growth. I’m so grateful to be the Moncton team ambassador for lululemon. Stay tuned for a HUGE year.
