"Vietnam (is not) 50" is an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War hosted by the Honors Program on October 23rd.

“The Vietnam War is a forgotten war for many of our students today,” said Director of the Honors Program, Dr. Steve Benton. “We want to educate them about the war, but we’re calling it ‘Vietnam (is not): 50’ because we want to emphasize that Vietnam itself is not a war. It is a country with a long history and a rich culture.”

The event is free and open to the public!

Allie Mabry, Varsity player for League of Legends, had her senior showcase today! Allie presented her artwork as a part of the ECU Honors program. Our program director, Cody Soden, had a chance to get a few photos of her showcase.

Congratulations to Allie for all of her hard work; as a program, we are proud to have such creative and entrepreneurial members alongside us. Allie was a part of the National Championship title-winning season for League of Legends last semester. It was the first national title for our esports program.

Graduation is nearing, and we wish her well in all of her future endeavors.
