💥💥💥 FUN FRIDAYS 💥💥💥

In our summer training, we cap off each week with “Fun Friday”

This day is a combination of lifting, conditioning, strongman, competition, adversity & things our athletes don’t typically see throughout the week in our training.

Add in strategy and thinking under fatigue to answer questions, or racing to mirror images/puzzles and now we’re mimicking sport scenarios.

Of course, these days also help build our team culture and chemistry— more important than ever with how new each team is every year.

We break up our team into smaller teams to compete and sometimes we even compete against other teams on campus (thank you VB & field hockey!! @eddie.ramirez89 @catiem29 )

Things I hear from these videos:

✅ energy
✅ communication
✅ competition
✅ intent
✅ encouragement “help a teammate”
✅ our athletes having fun, crazy!!!

“I’m going to be your biggest cheerleader. However, I’ve got to push you mentally and physically.” That’s the deal Eddie Ramirez makes with his Indiana volleyball team.

No sugarcoating the hard days, because beating the Wisconsins and Nebraskas of the Big Ten takes grit, not just talent.

Full episode linked in bio.
