Queenie is a playful variable display typeface inspired by the vibrant energy of psychedelic graphics from the 1960s, reimagined through a contemporary lens. Rhythmic strokes, reverse contrast, and fluid curves give the family a warm and expressive personality, while subtly slanted stems recall the movement and groove of vintage posters and vinyl culture. In Queenie, almost nothing stands still — there are virtually no straight lines anywhere in the design. The family includes 9 weights from Thin to Heavy, plus a variable font, offering a wide expressive range for dynamic typography. With more than 500 glyphs, Queenie comes packed with stylistic alternates, ligatures, multiple numeral sets, symbols, dingbats, and OpenType features. Created to shine in large formats and expressive compositions, Queenie feels equally at home in record covers, branding systems, editorial layouts, packaging, posters, and logos. The intermediate weights also perform beautifully in short texts, bringing personality and rhythm without sacrificing readability. Part lettering, part music, part movement — Queenie invites designers to turn up the volume and embrace the curve. Designed by @edgar_capula Available at sudtipos.com

(1/2) Around two months ago, I started with my first semester at @typewest. It has been the most fun and enriching weeks filled with typography and people who love typography. 3AM workshops with @genramirez and @kmdleavens were super fun and calming, while lectures with @ewanclayton made me understand the history of type so much better. @sahafshar and @michele.ptn have been the most supportive and fun professors to have, alongside the sweetest TAs @edgar_capula and @floradecarvalho! With the most talented classmates, not one class was spent boring, and I was learning something new almost every minute. I’m excited to have almost finished my first proper revival, and would be showing it to the world very very soon. For now, here’s a note to show my gratitude and excitement for all the future classes. ❤️ #typewest #typedesign #typography #lettering #calligraphy letterformarchive sketching type design glyphs
