Amateurs argue over Analog vs. Digital … Professionals just build better systems. At my gig and talking with one of my bandmates, the incomparable @riggzmusic … He’s the real deal when it comes to sound design and analog gear, bringing his own Prophet and Oberheim out of the house and BLAZING the show we were on together … I’m showing him what I’ve been using the past few years in my rig. The crazy plot twist? Josh is the actual sound designer who built some of the elite iOS synth patches I use! When a first-call hardware sound designer looks at your mobile rig, hears it and says, “No crashes, super efficient, I’m really impressed,” you know you’ve bypassed the Hardware Tax. You don’t need to carry 150 lbs of expensive keyboards to your gigs just to prove a point to other musicians. You can get arena-ready sound, absolute reliability, and total control without the backache or the credit card debt. We are stripping away the excess and building bulletproof, professional mobile rigs. The Mobile Musician Accelerator is enrolling now for May 18th. Comment ‘SYSTEM’ and I’ll put you on the list for the exact blueprint. #Grateful #MobileMusicianAccelerator #iPadMusician #EdgeMuzikU #Edgemuzik

Missed out on the Mobile Musician Accelerator? That’s okay. But while you were watching from the sidelines, here’s what the execution looks like in the real world … This isn’t just about plugging a keyboard into an iPad and playing sounds. That’s not what professionals do. Last week at this R&B party with @quinnsmusic and @jukeboxatlanta, I wasn’t just playing parts. I was running an entire structural backbone … Running stems, loops, and patches simultaneously from the iPad. No clunky laptops w/ Pro Tools crashes. No MPC. No Logic Pro (although it’s dope on iPad 💪🏾). Just pure, streamlined execution from a lightweight portable device. The industry is shifting. The musicians who understand how to architect systems like this will never be short on work, while those stuck carrying 100-pound rigs will keep struggling. We officially kicked off our current cohort, but the demand is already building for the next round. If you’re tired of watching everyone else level up their gear and are ready to learn the actual system, I’m opening the waitlist for the next cohort starting May 18th. Comment ‘SYSTEM’ below to get priority access before spots fill up! 🎥: @mike7mc #MobileMusicianAccelerator #iPadMusician #EdgemuzikU #Edgemuzik

About last night … Words alone cannot express how deeply humbled and grateful I am to share the stage and this incredible moment with the one and only, incomparable @indiaarie!! 🙌🏾 To be trusted with the sonic architecture for a show of this magnitude is a blessing I do not take lightly. That said, I want my fellow MDs and gigging musicians to look closely at what I took this solo on … It wasn’t a $4,000, 40-pound analog synthesizer provided by a backline company … It was a $200 midi controller and iPad. There is a myth in this industry that mobile devices sound ‘thin’ or ‘digital’ and can’t hold up on an arena stage. Check the tone in this video. This is what pure execution sounds like when you stop relying heavy gear you were TOLD you needed, and learn to build your own a bulletproof SYSTEM. This isn’t a novelty. This is the absolute future of the music industry. The players who learn to architect these mobile systems in the future will control the gigs, protect their peace, and eliminate their gear debt. Our Mobile Musician Accelerator cohort officially kicks off, but let me be clear … We are only looking for individuals serious about elevating their game. This requires a strict 6-week minimum commitment to build your system, with significant expectations of execution and mastery over 90 days. We aren’t just downloading apps … We are rewiring how you think and operate on stage. If you are ready to stop hauling heavy workstations, or blowing your budget on new versions of old gear every few years, step into the future of music, comment ‘SYSTEM’ and let’s get to work. #MobileMusicianAccelerator #iPadMusician #EdgemuzikU #Edgemuzik

While hanging at the gym supporting one of our friends, I had to ask two of the heaviest touring musicians on the road right now, @leonturner88 and @westbyrd, a simple question: With all the new keyboards coming out ... what does the iPad need to keep up? The answer? “A system update.” Like West said, buying some of these boards for yourself gets way too expensive … Unless you are strictly playing backline gear provided by a production company, chasing every new keyboard is a trap … Leon is right … Most of the new keyboards dropping today are digital anyway, not analog. You are LITERALLY getting the exact same sound quality out of an iPad system, but you aren’t draining your bank account to do it. It’s a system thing. You can either keep spending money on professional keyboards, or you can learn the system of what we believe is the future … If you are ready to learn the system, you need to check out the Mobile Musician Accelerator. Like I said in the video, I only bring you people I trust, and they are not gonna steer you wrong … We kick off this Monday, March 30th. And because keeping up is too expensive, we just added alternatives at checkout so you can split the investment interest-free. Comment ‘SYSTEM’ and I’ll send you the private link to grab your spot. Let’s get to work. #MobileMusicianAccelerator #iPadMusician #EdgemuzikU #Edgemuzik

Hey … Hope y’all have your tickets already for this sold-out show … I promise the energy is already amazing, and the vocals of @ametriadock, @mayahdyson and @kayladock1 are incredible!! Yes, there is a very awesome, but very heavy, authentic suitcase Rhodes in the show, to add vintage vibes and aesthetics to the stage. But guess what isn’t there? A bunch of expensive, heavy workstations. When you get the call for a major event, MDs don’t care how much your keyboard costs. They care if your rig is bulletproof. You can’t afford a crash, and you can’t blame your MIDI routing. Your reputation is entirely on the line, and I’m humbled to have been trusted by the incomparable @kharicabralsimmons to deliver all the nuances necessary for this historic music celebration. This iPad setup is the exact architecture I rely on for massive stages for peace of mind and pure execution when the stakes are high. I’m taking 10 people and handing them my exact touring blueprint in a 6-week cohort starting March 30th. If you are ready to upgrade your rig and protect your reputation on stage, comment ‘SYSTEM’ and I’ll send you the private link. #MobileMusicianAccelerator #iPadMusician #EdgemuzikU #Edgemuzik

Quick update for everybody who has been asking about the Mobile Musician Accelerator cohort that was supposed to start this Monday. I am officially pushing the start date to Monday, March 30th. I just got the call to run keys for a major artist, and rehearsals start this Monday. I am taking the exact 5-pound iPad rig that I am teaching in this cohort, and I’m walking into a major industry rehearsal with it. I am not teaching you theory; I am teaching you the exact bulletproof architecture I use to book these gigs. So, if you were on the fence because you didn’t think you had enough time to get your tools together by Monday... you just got a 7-day extension. The roster now locks next Sunday, March 29th, and we kick off on the 30th. I still have a few of the 10 spots left. Most gigging musicians are still one credit card payment away from realizing a new $4,000 workstation isn’t going to fix their sound or their setup. Let’s talk about Gear Acquisition Syndrome (G.A.S.). It’s not just a studio joke … it is a REAL psychological loop fueled by scarcity, comparison, and financial anxiety. You drop thousands on a “professional” keyboard or workstation because you think it will validate you and make you sound “arena-ready.” But a month later, you’re just hauling 100 pounds of gear out of your trunk at 11 PM, and the imposter syndrome is still there. Before I earned any awards in music, I spent 12 years working as a mental health case manager. I know exactly what an anxiety loop looks like. You don’t need more gear. You need a system that cures your overwhelm, stops your debt cycle, and gives you your confidence back. I don’t teach you how to play chords. I teach you how to build a world-class, bulletproof rig using the exact same iPad architecture I’ve been touring with since 2019. I’m taking 10 people through my exact mobile setup in a 6-week Live Beta Cohort. Stop the debt cycle. Stop the YouTube rabbit hole searches. Comment “SYSTEM” below and I’ll DM you the private details. Roster locks March 22nd. #MobileMusicianAccelerator #iPadMusician #EdgemuzikU #Edgemuzik

Hey Family, See those 4 Korg Kronos keyboards? The brain running my main 88-key setup for this entire rig was a 2018 iPad Pro. This was our Las Vegas residency in 2019. Sold-out room. 2.5-hour show every night. Zero latency … Zero polyphony glitches … Nothing sounding thin, especially using AUM. No crashes mid-set. The #1 reason gigging pros are terrified to use an iPad live is because they think it isn’t stable. But stability doesn’t come from buying the newest iPad; it comes from knowing how to architect the system. I’ve been running an iPad live on stage and on tour since 2019. I am taking 10 gigging pros through my exact 6-week Mobile Musician Accelerator to build this exact bulletproof rig. We are locking the roster on March 22nd. Drop the word “SYSTEM” in the comments on IG, and I’ll DM you the private link. #grateful #MobileMusicianAccelerator #lPadMusician #Edgemuzik

Carrying 100 lbs of gear and spending $4,000+ on a keyboard or workstation is a choice. I chose this instead. 👇🏽 BTS of me using my #iPad for everything for a crowd of approx. 1200 attendees … No hiccups or glitches … •2 midi controllers (no internal sounds) •1 iPadPro (M1 2020 11”) •Mix of apps used simultaneously like AUM, @loopsbycdub, @koalasampler & others The future won’t require more gear, just better systems … I’m taking 10 musicians through this exact setup in my upcoming 6-week Live Beta Cohort so they can ditch the heavy keyboards and master the mobile rig … Want in?
