We’ve made it to our final three Greenlight announcements! 💡🌱

Meet Edinburgh Open Workshop, Starcatchers and Teens+ 👆

From giving well-loved clothes a new lease of life, to growing, cooking and exploring food with families, and creating a more biodiverse community garden, there’s lots to look forward to from these projects. 🧵🥕🐝

Scroll through to meet them and find out what they’ll be getting up to - and check them out to discover more of their brilliant work across Edinburgh.

And while that’s a wrap on our project announcements, it’s really just the beginning! Over the coming year, we’ll be sharing lots more from our Greenlight projects as they get underway, including plenty of ways to get involved.

A huge welcome to all of this year’s funded projects, and a big thank you to everyone who applied and shared their ideas with us. 💚

LAST CHANCE: Woodturning Lathe Introduction @edinburghopenworkshop

Final tickets available for my first class with the Edinburgh Open Workshop. This class is a relaxed, hands-on woodturning workshop series to get you started with the basics of lathe turning - in the first set we will create a wooden candlestick (perfect for gifting at Christmas!)

Turning is the basis of everything I do, and this is the start of a number of classes I’ll be teaching - so come along to get the basics covered before we move on to bigger projects!

Give me a message if you have any questions, link to book via the link in my bio.

And that's a wrap on this year's Collective Gala!🎉 Again I'm super honored to be a part of it - big big thank you @collective_edin for having me!

and of course massive thank you too to everyone of you who stopped by my stall🤩 thank you for all the love you have for my earrings! Also, sharing my Isle of Rum sketchbooks with you felt extra special🥹 I got to connect with so many wonderful and interesting people in a way I never expected🥰

Prepping for markets can be a bit exhausting - that said, meeting you all in person also gives me so much energy that feeds back into my next projects, which I'm so ready for already!

But before I share with you all about it - if you are interested in laser cutting, my courses are now live! Come learn with me at @edinburghopenworkshop in Leith - Link in bio! 👋

🪡TEXTILE TALISMANS | IMPERFECT STITCH 🪡

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Textile Talismans session and trusted the process of stitching memories, thoughts and intentions into cloth. 🪡🧵

One participant chose beautiful 70s retro fabrics, reconnecting with happy childhood memories through colour, pattern and cloth.

Another enclosed the simple intention “BREATHE” inside their talisman — a quiet reminder to carry with them. 🤍

Slow, intuitive stitching and beading were layered over small manilla envelopes scraps containing handwritten intentions, giving each finished talisman a wonderfully satisfying texture, weight and meaning.

It was a tranquil morning of making — no rush, no rules and no pressure for perfection. Just cloth, community and creativity.
