My new song ‘Time’ and its music film are out now. Link in bio.

The song was finished in summer 2021 and untouched since. As I was about to leave the city I was living in, I suddenly felt a deep melancholy and nostalgia, though little had happened there and I was often bored. It was a kind of melancholy rooted in ‘unlived lives’. So, I thought of the boy I used to hold hands with in high school, I thought of all those ‘could-have-beens’ that later became the lyrics.

‘Time’ is about the reluctance to accept such fates in linear time.

The film took 2 years to make with very little money. I spent the entire 2025 learning and doing the VFX. Almost every scene was 3D VFX, not AI, and the few exceptions were story elements.

‘Time’ is about the clash between fear of death, unreachable queer desires, digital melancholy and nostalgia, and a scarily accelerating technological world. There’s so, so much to say about this project. The music and film lie at the core of who I am as an artist and a person. For now, I just invite you to watch and listen.

Much love to the wonderful team who made this film happen. So many stories behind it too. ILY!

This is an exploration on where heat manifests in a non-linear-4-seasons-scheduled but a hot-scorching-sticky-humid-cyclical manner.

If heat does not disappear but transforms into other forms can we ask it to invite us to its space and dive into it in a communal practice of making delicious hot sweaty flavour filled sambal?

May we then share the space with the heat? Please say yes.

And if so can we trauma dump with the heat or what?

Residual Heat explored an expanded concept of “heat” through the movement of the body, beginning with a reconsideration of the differences between thermal energy and heat.

Drawing on artistic, cinematic, scientific, political, and social friction, it examined bodily movement as a system for generating and preserving heat. By contrasting hegemonic Western perspectives with peripheral and tropical viewpoints, participants reflected on how heat is conceived and produced inside and outside the body.

Through this process, heat was understood as a relational mechanism that brings bodies together, framing artistic practice as a reflective and urgent gesture rooted in shared warmth and collective movement.
