Home sweet home 🤎

Edo has been my favorite Korean restaurant in Connecticut for a while, run by a real Korean family. If you live far from your home country, you know exactly what I mean when I say every visit still feels like home.

Their 갈비탕 (short rib soup) is rich and comforting, the 비빔밥 (mixed rice bowl) is perfectly balanced, and the side dishes alone are worth the trip. The real thing, not a watered-down version.

If you know, you know. Go if you haven’t already 🤎

The best sushi I’ve ever had?! 🍣

@edo.kitchen

I’m honestly still thinking about it. The sushi was that good. Add in the BYOB factor and it’s officially going on our list of favorite date-night spots.

Be sure to put this one on your list (and order the Stairway to Heaven). 👏

@edo.kitchen in Norwalk is back and better than ever with new owners! 🙌 Colten and I love Korean & Japanese food, so we visited Edo Kitchen during their soft opening last weekend and were very impressed with the quality of everything we tried! Our meal came with traditional side dishes (banchan), and before even tasting the sushi, we could tell how fresh the fish was going to be based on its bright and bold colors 🍣 The dish that really stood out was the chicken served on a sizzling stone - it literally cut like butter! Even the dumplings are homemade here 😍 The menu also includes Korean fried chicken, Korean hot pot, soups, and many more authentic Japanese and Korean entrees. We don’t often get to enjoy a nice sit-down meal for Korean food, so it’s great to have Edo Kitchen as an option! The space is bright and inviting, run by a sweet family! Fun fact: the owner actually worked as a sushi chef at Edo Kichen under the previous owners many years ago, so it’s awesome to see this full circle moment for them!

While Edo Kitchen waits for their liquor license, the restaurant is currently BYOB! They officially had their grand opening yesterday, so come celebrate with them! 🥳

Correction to voiceover: They’re open Tuesday-Sunday for lunch and dinner!

Featured Menu Items ⬇️

‼️🍜🍣NEW AUTHENTIC KOREAN & OUTSTANDING SUSHI IN NORWALK, CT🍣🍜‼️

It’s hard to find authentic Korean comfort food in CT, and pair that with a seasoned sushi chef who created and ran the sushi program at @fjordfishmarket for 12 years -and you’ve got a new must-try CT spot.

@edo.kitchen opens TODAY, April 1st, in Norwalk (this is no joke) and is a family affair, with mom in the kitchen cooking Korean cuisine, dad behind the sushi bar, and their daughter in the role of GM.

Go for the SUSHI STAIRCASE, an outrageous selection of Nigiri, Sashimi, Tartare, Taco Nori & Crispy Rice and stay for the Korean Galbi-marinated beef short ribs and my personal faves, the classic hot stone Bibimbap or Soondubu (Spicy Tofu Stew).

NOTE: @edo.kitchen is currently BYOB as they await their liquor license, so come prepared!

WHAT WE ATE
Galbi Korean marinated beef short ribs
Gomtang -Korean Beef Bone Soup
Sundubu-jjigae -spicy- Korean stew with soft tofu
Hot Stone Bibimbap
Crispy Rice with Tuna
