Minimal prep (other than matching Japanese jackets 😅) and we just ran with the energy… man, what a voice 💫 Very keen to do this soundsystem style set again.

MCWR016 // Burnin Up
Edseven feat Oliver Night & Cinta

Four machine soul sex jams out on Detroits Motor City Wine (vinyl + digital).

I’ve played @motorcitywine (the venue) many times since 2017 and is one of my favourite dance floors in the world, run by the nicest crew. So good to now release this Sydney / London / Detroit collaboration.

Massive thanks to everyone involved 💕

@cinta.tee and @olivernight for perfect vocal energy 🎤🔥

David, @mapflower and @petercroce_rsd for always being so wonderful to work with 💕

Brother @chamersmithmixing for the great mixdowns⚡️
@pontchartrain_music for the crisp loud master 🔈
@michalrafaj for the dope artwork 👌🏻

Writeup:

‘Longtime friend of MotorCity Wine and Sydney, Australia based artist Edseven joins MotorCity Wine Recordings for the Burnin Up EP! The release is sexy, sultry, and slinky, blending deep and brukky machine sounds with soulful vocals. The title track “Burnin Up” cranks up the machine-sex-soul vibes with jazzy pads and a brilliant vocal performance from Oliver Night. “Soul Takes Flight” comes up next, with Edseven cranking up the tempo and the broken beats a bit, with another amazing performance from Oliver Night. On the flip the vibes get chilled out a little more with the midtempo groover “If I Let You” featuring Cinta on vocals. Limited picture sleeve 12” pressing manufactured in Detroit, TIP!’

Sydney launch party incoming.
