I love playing a band show, but going back to a simple acoustic set always makes my heart full.

Gogo Norah’s MOSS clean water tap was installed over a year ago, enabling her to rear goats and grow sweet potatoes to feed her family, and to sell at the local market.

Norah lives at Mganti in rural Eswatini with her son who is looking for work and her 3 young grandchildren (who’s parents are living away for work).

Norah no longer needs to carry a heavy bucket of water long distances from a polluted water hole on head, and her family no longer need to share their water with cattle - and their poo.💩💩💩

The Mganti MOSS Foundation clean water system comprises:
• 2 catchment dams.
• Eight tanks in total, including a 2 tank sand filter station
• 80 standpipe taps for 1,220 people
• 9,500 metres of hand dug trenches.

Thank you so much to all of the MOSS Foundation supporters for making this life changing permanent water system an awesome success.

Stoked to have @mortmurray on board the Fitzroy Town Hall MOSS Deck Art Show!
Sat 28th Nov 2026.

The legendary John ‘Mort’ Murray is an artist based out of Lightning Ridge in outback NSW where he has had a gallery for 30 years. He paints outback landscapes and quirky characters both as studio works and large scale public art. John Murray’s quintessential emu’s can be found in several Melbourne laneways as well as rural townships of Lightning Ridge, Bourke, Brewarrina, Dubbo, Eumundi, Hebel and Walgett. He has painted water towers in Coonamble NSW and Bourke NSW. He is known in the street art world as Mort Murray and his Emu characters around Melbourne are distinctive and well loved.
