God has a plan for all of us. My msg to those who see this don’t give up when times get tough . The world thrives off negativity and hates to see us show love and lift each other up. Keep believing prayers get answered everyday. #smiley #learnfromthepast #godsplan✝️ #keepbelieving #helpmehelpyou

🎒💛 3rd Annual Back to School Bash — WE DID IT! 💛🎒

This event would not have been possible without the incredible vendors, volunteers, donors, supporters, and everyone who showed up to pour back into our community. 🙏🏽

Every donation, every hour volunteered, every vendor who contributed, and every person who helped make a child smile mattered more than you know. 🥹❤️

Thank you for believing in the vision and helping us make our 3rd Year Back to School Bash one to remember! ✏️📚🎒

This is what community looks like. When we come together, we can make a difference. 🫶🏽

Four years ago, this was just an idea.

Today, it’s real.

On August 2, the first location will officially go live on the Razored platform. We will begin to work on the transition from now to August 2nd. For all of our current customers, expect to receive an email from us this week on the transition.

This isn’t just a new POS system. It’s a platform built from years of listening to barbers, stylists, receptionists, shop owners, and customers. Every challenge, every suggestion, and every lesson helped shape what Razored has become.

Created by Edmund and Tracey Washington, but made better by the many professionals who trusted us, challenged us, and taught us this business along the way.

We’re incredibly grateful to No Grease! for providing the environment where we could learn, innovate, and prove what’s possible. Their impact on our journey will always be part of our story. More locations will be announced soon, and we expect Razored to be generally available to shops everywhere this September.

Thank you to everyone who believed in the vision before there was a product.

The journey is just getting started.

🚨 🎞️🎬
“Blood On the Campus Green” is set in 1968 Orangeburg, SC on the HBCU campus of South Carolina State College (now University). The lives of 3 teens were cut short with dozens more injured as they were peacefully protesting the illegal segregation of the local bowling alley.

With the true facts covered up to protect the status quo, the FBI JUST closed the case this year.🗂️📂

Co-Directors @edwash78 @digidreams.ig and Producer @victoriouscreates have been putting together for some years now.

Interviewed are survivors, families, current & past student leaders and artists who tell a story that is well known only by the most astute historians, alumni (like @kriskaylin) and those from this all but forgotten and certainly underserved community in the Low Country of SC
❤️💙

🙏🏾Peeling back the curtain a bit, we still have a determined idea to interview former Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School students Nicole Beharie @nikkibeharie

💫It’s almost a week later, and my heart is still full.
Bringing The ReSET Book Signing Experience home to Asheville was a reminder that our journeys are shaped by the people and places that help us become who we are.

✨Thank you to everyone who showed up, purchased a book, shared a post, offered encouragement, and said “yes” to being in the room.

🙏🏾A special thank you to Stephanie Swepson Twitty and Eagle Market Streets Development Corporation, Leah Ferguson and Thrive Asheville, Lenore Culpepper and U.S. Bank, Alexandria and Noir Collective Asheville, WomanUP, Razored Technologies, TEDx Asheville, Self-Help Credit Union, Western Women’s Business Center, and Indigo Innovation Group for helping make this experience possible.

Thank you to Brandon Horne and the Blank Space AVL team, my incredible partners Janean Benton and Michelle Lassiter, and my family, especially my husband Edmund and son Caleb, for their unwavering love and support.

💡What began as a book became a conversation. In Asheville, that conversation became a community; the conversation continues.

📣 Happy birthday to our Caleb! I can’t believe you’re turning 17 today!

We’re wishing you endless blessings, joy, success, endless giggles and abundance as you celebrate another turn around the sun.

Amplify your light, smile, and the very essence of who you are..I can’t wait to see the continued bloom that is manifested, honored, and accelerated as you continue to step into the specialness of who you are - a leader, compassionate person, giver, hard worker, jokester, and a young man with his eyes on the prize!

❤️ It’s such a privilege to be your mom and dad. We love you! Happy birthday son! 🥰

🚶🏽‍♀️As I walked this morning…I couldn’t help but have a proud parent moment and deep gratitude that I get the privilege to be mom and we get to be parents to this amazing human being - “Our Caleb”

✨ I can’t believe how fast he has grown up..and getting him dressed and taking pictures with him at this prom just made it all so real

✨ He’s such an amazing young man that asks powerful questions, jokes a lot, puts me in a lot of headlocks 😳..not sure why 🤷🏽‍♀️..and so loving at the same time

✨ He’s a gentleman, loving and a hard worker that is constantly processing, assessing and moving to action…he can take hard truth telling and come back with a plan that gets the job done

✨ He’s sunshine, joy, inquisitive, smart and is all about his mental…

Again such a privilege to call him “Our Caleb “ ❤️❤️❤️
