Beyond the walls, impact in action. 10P, a proud member of the TPW Transformative Programming Works family, traveled to Sacramento to share the stories of transformation happening within California's prisons thanks to community-based organizations. This crucial work has contributed to a 39.1% recidivism rate.

We were also privileged to meet Assemblymember LaShae Sharp-Collins, a powerful voice for children, and many considered to be voiceless. Keep an eye on Assembly Bills 802, 1279, and 758 – they represent real change. #10Pprogram #TPWworks #SecondChances #CommunitySupport #PrisonRehabilitation #MakingADifference #CaliforniaPrisons #LegislativeAdvocacy #ChildrenFirst

Last week, @boundlessfreedomproject had the incredible honor of leading a special workshop with formerly incarcerated college graduates and a nonprofit dedicated to education & empowerment through community. 🌟

We gathered in the breathtaking Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat in North Carolina, surrounded by inspiring leaders—all formerly incarcerated and now holding executive roles within their organizations. 💪🏽

Our mission? To share mindfulness practices and hope, aiming to liberate all beings—especially those who are justice-involved. 🌱 Life can be busy as we catch up and learn how to live again, sometimes as responsible adults in a rapidly changing world. But each step forward is a victory, and we’re paying it forward. ❤️

Today was a day of reflection—meditating, living in mindfulness, and cultivating gratitude. 🌸✨

We first met in prison. People who lived in prison, people who volunteered in prison. We built communities.
.
Those communities come home, and will continue to come home.

Yesterday was a day filled with healing and self-care at Healing Dialogue and Action. We had the privilege of hosting a tea ceremony for the survivors we have worked with and our staff. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to every survivor who was able to attend, and we sincerely hope that it provided a therapeutic and comforting experience for them.

Last nights #Wagfest to celebrate 15 years of @marleysmutts and @pawsitivechangeprogram was an absolute blast! Thanks to all who attended!
If you weren’t able to attend but are interested in giving to the cause, please so here! We are still desperate to catch up after losing our Facebook page for 6 months!

Yesterday, we celebrated @marleysmutts’ 15-year anniversary, a milestone marked by the profound impact the organization has had in offering countless dogs a second chance. Through harnessing the power of the human-canine bond, they enrich the community, advocate for change, and continually strive for excellence.✨🐾

Innovative programs like @pawsitivechangeprogram have provided my brother @freebliss1 and me with opportunities we once thought were impossible. As we stand together, reflecting on our journey from incarceration to assuming responsibilities in society, it serves as a powerful reminder of the transformative journey we have experienced.

I take great pride in being part of this organization that empowers incarcerated individuals, providing them with the tools and support to see possibilities beyond the confines of their current limitations. Together, we work towards a brighter future and a more inclusive society.
