In Nashville to celebrate my sweet little sisters baby shower! I cannot believe she is pregnant & im sooooo happy for her and Matt! God is so good! (Little story below👇🏻)

My sister wanted to be a mama so badly & they had been trying for a couple years with no luck & they even went through IUI 3 times with no luck! At the beginning of 2025 I began praying for her every day as I did my 45 min outdoor workout for #75hardchallenge I would walk down my street and then began walking around in my backyard, some days in bitter cold & snow and ice.

I prayed for my sister’s beautiful artwork business @eebrownleatherworks & that God would bless her work & allow her to build this business. She already had some custom designs she has done & been commissioned to do & she had a HUGE one for the new @birkenstock store that was just opening in Nashville! I then prayed that God would bless her with a baby after she had finished her commission & after she had made more of name for herself with her artwork so that she could continue to get more work! & God is so good!

Emily got her commissioned work done & she was celebrated & then they traveled for Matt’s birthday to the Grand Canyon! While they were there, she found out she was pregnant! God always has the perfect plan & Im so thankful that He cares about all the details!

How amazing is that?!! And here we are celebrating her & her sweet little baby girl coming in December! 🎄🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

From discovering the beauty of leather at 13 to carving out her own space in a craft not often seen, @eebrownleatherworks journey embodies what Define Design is all about: taking risks, pushing boundaries, and evolving your style with intention.

“I define design as saying yes, taking risks, and under promising while over delivering.”

At Nashville Design Week, we choose to highlight voices like Emily’s because they remind us that design goes beyond traditional rules.

Your potential client or next opportunity may not work with you because your work isn’t good, it might be because it’s not a good fit for their business (this can go both ways)
