I spent such a huge part of my life suppressing emotions. I got so good at numbing the pain away that I didn’t realise I was also numbing the good.

Feeling really is the secret. When we allow ourselves to truly feel (even the things we would rather avoid) we create space for all the beautiful things to also rise. We can’t experience one without the other. It’s all part of the polarity of this magical life.

If you find you’re someone who buries things or ignores sitting with your emotions, I get it. If this can even be the encouragement to take one baby step today to sit with something you’ve been avoiding then that would be such a beautiful thing.

I know it’s not pleasant. But trust me, it is so worth it.

Change is interesting.

Coming out the other side of my recent experiences I learnt that I hadn’t been the true conductor of my life…

There was a puppeteer …. My persona and ego…

Through my experiences especially in early life I developed harmful believes about myself….

These beliefs and the ways I felt I had to act became a pair of glasses…. Created out of survival… my supposed ‘safety glasses’…

I had no idea I was putting them on, I was totally unaware and over time the tint changed…. We might say darkened…

The only thing that gave me temporary relief from this lens were substances… a brief moment to take off the glasses…

These glasses informed my every decision throughout life…. But beneath them my authentic self was waiting…

By stepping into fear repeatedly over time and yearning to understand more, I’ve had glimpses of the real me we might say…

Moments of presence, where none of the ‘problems’ of my other lens mattered… there was love…

Then… I would be triggered by something in the environment and I would swiftly put the glasses back on …. Defensive, jaded, reactive, cold etc etc…

So…. Coming back to change…

I believe we all have a pair of glasses …. And change is the push pull process of bravely digging…. Seeing without them … putting them back on … seeing further without them … and all the while losing the influence they have over us…

We might see behaviour which makes us think, we haven’t changed … or they haven’t changed … but it may just be the case that we’ve entered survival mode and the old glasses have popped back on…

The key for me has been to keep an open mind, lose the grip on what I think I know, try to be humble…

One thing glasses hate is awareness …. Point at them name them, dissolve them ❤️

Every memory you have ever had is in there.

Every experience. Every moment that shaped a belief about who you are. Every time something
happened that your nervous system stored as a threat. Every version of yourself that got
created in a moment of pain or confusion or fear.

All of it is in there. In the subconscious. Like a library that nobody has ever let you fully into.

When you are in your conscious mind you are standing at the front of the library. You can sense
it all exists. You can sometimes glimpse things. But you cannot walk in. You cannot open the
books. You cannot actually see what is inside the memories at the level where they got coded.

This is why you can understand your patterns intellectually and still not change them. You are
describing the library from the front door.

When we access the theta brainwave state in an Aaruka® session, the librarian lets you
through. The whole thing opens up. And you can go back into the actual memory, not the story
you tell about it, the memory itself, and see what decision you made in that moment about who
you were. What you deserved. What was safe. What was possible.

And from inside that memory, with the right practitioner holding the space, you can change it.

That is what Egan described after his first sessions using the method. Not a theory. A felt
experience of the library finally being accessible.

He was 19. Carrying guilt and shame and this constant low level tension of needing to get
everything right.

Egan could hear it in his language before the session even really began. The way he described
himself. The words he chose. The pattern underneath the presenting problem.

I am not enough.

They followed the thread back. Found it. A classroom. A kid who needed extra help and was
placed in the remedial group and decided in that moment, without words, without logic, just the
way children decide things in their bones, that this was what he was.

They went into the theta brainwave state. Into that memory. And before they even went deep,
tears. Just from being present with it in a calm state.
Because those emotions had been sitting
in his body for over a decade with no way out.

One question from Egan and it hit him like a light entering a room that had been dark for years.

He was able to go back into that memory as himself now. Be there for the version of him that
made that decision. Rewrite what it meant. Feel what it felt like to actually know he was enough.

And then he came out of the session and realised. That one memory in a primary school
classroom had been quietly running his entire adult life.

Not dramatically. Not with flashbacks. Just as a background frequency underneath everything,
his relationships, his performance, his ability to rest, to receive, to feel like he had earned his
place.

One session. One memory. Changed at the root.

I said something in our last conversation that I cannot stop thinking about.

What if when we go into the theta brainwave state and we access a memory and process it and
implant new beliefs, we are not just healing what happened.

What if we are actually altering it.

Quantum physics is now showing us that time is not linear.

That affecting a particle in the
present can affect it in the past and in the future simultaneously. That the quantum field, the
field that theta brainwave connects us into, the same frequency as the Schumann resonance,
the frequency of nature itself, operates faster than space and time.

And I think about the people who come out of Aaruka® sessions saying that memory does not
feel real anymore. Like it did not happen. Like they are not that version of themselves.

Not that they feel better about it. That it feels like it changed.

The new beliefs do not feel adopted. They feel like things that were always true and something
was just blocking them from landing.

Are we time travelling using theta brainwave? Are we actually going back and changing the
coding? It sounds wild. But it is the only explanation I have for why people come out of sessions
feeling like a different timeline has become available to them.

We are not just processing the past. I think we might actually be rewriting it.

Comment READY below if you want to experience what that feels like.

Egan has a psychology degree. He has studied under human behaviour experts across the world. He has consumed more frameworks and modalities than most people in this space.

And then he found Aaruka®.

He so rightly pointed out that it is not a cookie cutter approach. That humans are complex and you cannot just apply one approach or tool to everyone.
That the thing he loved most was having a complete toolkit that lets you actually listen to the person in front of you and give them what they specifically need.

This is what Aaruka® practitioners walk away with.
Not a script. Not a simple framework that they follow until it stops working.

Instead? An ability to read a person and know what they need next.

If you are ready to experience it for yourself, you can book an Aaruka Therapy session with Egan through his page ✨
