This September, during Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, I’m sharing my story to remind you that even our darkest chapters can become a source of Light for others.

At 14 years old, one moment changed my life forever.

A car accident left me with a spinal cord injury and took away the future I thought I was going to have. But only months later, I began sharing my story—eventually reaching thousands, creating a foundation, advocating for people with disabilities, and building a life dedicated to helping others.

What once felt like the end of my story became the beginning of my purpose.

Through years of inner work and spirituality, I began to see that my greatest challenge was leading me toward the impact I was meant to make.

Today, I’m not simply telling the story of what I survived. I’m living the purpose that came from it.

So let me ask you this…

What darkness in your life can you transform into purpose and blessings?

The inaugural "Aquaman" discover scuba experience (DSE) at the Lynn Rehabilitation Center was an undeniable joy.

Special thanks to @_herarara_ for taking the lead role, @gratefuldiversworldwide for bringing adapted scuba expertise, and @themiamiproject and @myscisg for facilitating.

The legacy of Sergio "Aquaman" Echeverria will be continued through gathering such as this, where people living with disability can first experience the healing powers of scuba.

Thank you to all who attended. We will soon formalize the Aquaman Adapted Scuba Scholarship that was announced at the event. More details to come.
