It really was. BEAUTIFUL day. It started the night before with texts from dear friends. It was followed by flowers, orchids and delivered pastries the following morning and a chat with my sister Sara who has known me longer than anyone on the planet. Eddie then took me Forest Bathing (I’m obsessed); my dear friends took me to high tea at the Langham, which was spectacular, followed by an incredible massage— and then to top it off I came home to a printed poster from my team about what they love about me (I’m blushing) and an incredible pot roast dinner by my sister-in-law Sulynn. Throughout the day I was given so many beautiful gifts- from necklaces to bracelets, to earrings… I just feel so loved and spoiled and humbled. Now, what’s in store for today I wonder? Thank you ALL for making my day so special.

If you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, you can often use the rocks to fortify your spiritual foundation as you climb out of that hard place. Even adversity can build your strength-based leadership prowess and grow and develop you. Thank you to Eileen Coskey Fracchia for turning me on to the affirmation stones as cues. When I am confronted with a barrier, I think of these stones and find the way that the situation is calling me to live out the values on these stones. Would you add any other affirmations# stones to my pile? Maybe a “curiosity” stone? They say that “People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”, but what if any stones thrown in your path could be reimagined to empower you! #womenleaders #coaching #hope #empowerment #balance #gratitude #courage #strength

How do we get more women into the C-Suite? We train them! With diligence, it could become the She-Suite. This week, Sheppard Mullin held its annual Project General Counsel Workshop. The program is designed to help GC and GC candidates identify, own, and execute their #leadership strengths in their current roles and on the career path to General Counsel. Eileen Coskey Fracchia - MSEL served as our keynote and lead facilitator. She also gifted each of us the anthology book The Great LeadHERship Awakening – Eileen’s chapter:  "The Effects of Strengths, Diamonds, Aphorisms, and Amelia: On Me, Myself, and I."     Thank you to this year’s General Counsel Panelist: Judy McCool, Wella Company and thank you for the Wella and OPI swag Stefanie Liquori, United Talent Agency Holly Grochmal, Pandora Media International (PMI) Thank you to our hosts at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP Whitney Jones Roy Ronda Jamgotchian Linda Michaelson Jennifer Lee Stacey Rosenberg #dei #womenleaders #womenempoweringwomen

Absolutely decadent breakfast delivery this morning, thanks to @eifracch who sent to me as a surprise, arriving just in time for me to cohost this morning’s West Coast round table on Unity for the Harvard @instofcoaching Harvard Institute of Coaching.
