Chef Niki leads Cold Noodle Club on Tuesday, September 22nd 🥢 with a tangy, savory Thai dish topped with grilled pork belly, crispy fried shallots, and fresh herbs. Every bowl funds the free preventive healthcare services that IHWSH and Chef Niki want for all uninsured hospitality workers.

Find us at Eight Row Flint in Heights from 6 PM until sold out. Pro tip - we sold out last week again (thanks Chef Christine, Helen, Shambry, and the Eight Row Team!) so if you are not a member, be there at 6pm to ensure you get your noodle fix!

🌭 Hot dogs and Frito pie FTW.

Chef @RyanPera (@AgricoleHTX) spent years in fine dining. Then one of his team’s biggest hits came from hot dogs, Frito pie, and a neighborhood bar.

After taking some big swings and learning from what didn’t work, Ryan and his partners opened @EZsLiquorLounge next door to @ColtivareHTX. No fine dining playbook. Just a simple concept they believed people would actually want.

Sometimes growth isn’t about doing more. It’s knowing when to strip an idea back to what works.

Join me and my @theblindgoathtx team at @eight_row_flint this Tuesday, Sep 15 (6–8 PM, or until we sell out!) for my @ihwsh_tx Cold Noodle Club pop-up.

We’ll be slinging Mì Khô, a savory Vietnamese dry egg noodle bowl topped with braised pork, shrimp, quail eggs, and fresh chives. Inspired by my trip to Vietnam last month, this is my take on a classic street dish I fell in love with, tweaked to make it even better since this photo was taken—and this pop-up will be the very first time I’m serving it 🍜 Traditional Vietnamese cuisine doesn’t actually have an ice-cold noodle dish! But don’t worry—this bowl won’t make you sweat into your food in the Houston heat ☀️

A portion of every bowl sold goes directly to I’ll Have What She’s Having to fund free preventative, mental, and reproductive healthcare for uninsured Houston hospitality workers. Come slurp some noodles and support the real backbone of Houston’s food scene! ✨

We’re excited to welcome the famed palate of Christine Ha, chef and owner of The Blind Goat and Stuffed Belly, to the Cold Noodle Club! Inspired by her recent trip to Vietnam, Christine is bringing us Mì Khô, a Vietnamese egg noodle dish tossed in a sweet and savory sauce with pork, shrimp, quail egg, and chives.

Bonus! Helen Doan @gvcoffeeandpastry is bringing us a sweet treat. As always, chopsticks helpers and crafts for kids and adults, Club Tshirts and an Eight Row special offering available!
