💚Are you driving toward a greener future, or is your commute costing the planet? As the global push for sustainability intensifies, the battle between Electric Vehicles (EVs) and traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles has taken center stage.

While EVs are championed as the ultimate solution to slash tailpipe emissions and combat urban air pollution, critics frequently point to the environmental toll of battery manufacturing and the realities of fossil-fuel-reliant power grids.

This weekend, Loud and Green cuts through the noise to examine what your choice of wheels actually means for the climate. We will break down the true lifecycle emissions of both options, explore the current state of EV infrastructure in our local context, and discuss whether switching lanes to electric is truly the greenest path forward.

Join the conversation, share your driving experiences, and let’s map out the future of eco-friendly transit together. Your drive matters—let’s talk about its impact.

We’re proud to share that CDKN Ghana was featured at Microsoft Global GIVE 2026 Campaign.

During our spotlight week (6–9 October), we connected and engaged with Microsoft employees around the world through series of interactive sessions.

Our Impact Spotlight introduced our programmes, climate initiatives, and the communities and young people at the heart of our work across Ghana and West Africa. Our interactive Climate Literacy Workshops explored climate resilience, adaptation strategies, and the practical, locally-led solutions being implemented across Ghana and beyond.

Also, Yourh climate activists like @___maryakuaattah (Mary Akua Attah) and @ejarhin (Ebenezer John Arhin) who have been mentored through our programmes had the opportunity to share their impact stories.

Thanks to the Africans at Microsoft and Microsoft Security Teams for this platform and for the commitment to advance Africa’s climate future.

My sustainability journey continues to shape the global goals in different dimensions. But in September 2026, I decided to strengthen my knowledge and perspectives on the legal frameworks around them.

The key essentials: a generous online course offered by the Lucy Cavendish College @cambridgeuniversity and its partners, further exposed me to the gaps around the goals, progress made so far and the way forward for us, especially as sustainability enthusiasts.

As a global citizen who has localized these aspirational, complex and interconnected goals in empowering rural communities and youth to champion these, I remain inspired for having participated in an innovative course such as this.

It didn't only equip me with knowledge and global perspectives; it connected me to people in the space to exchange a lot with and that's something I don't take for granted.

Knowledge and skills transfer are a key part of my values and I will definitely cascade this with the people in my circle, especially the communities and youth that I serve.

Every significant minute action counts! Let's not look down on them.

I appreciate "Democratizing Education for Sustainable Development and Justice" for the opportunity.

We often hear about dam spillages in Ghana. But, what really is the cause? Is it Climate Change, or it’s simply Poor Planning?

Join us this weekend as we explore factors contributing to the Weija Dam spillage together.

Come with your perspectives, questions, and suggestions💚
