Can’t think of a more wonderful way to start the week than with a post and shout a like this one from Michael, the 11 year old CEO OF @themichaelsplace a family owned cookie business and bakery in Charlotte NC, filmed on Saturday from the @southendmarketclt

I love what I do and love sharing the stories about small businesses and local producers.. Thanks to Michael and his mom Elizabeth,
this sweet and thoughtful message means so much, I just had to share…

Repost: @themichaelsplace • At The Michael’s Place, we pride ourselves on creating a unique cookie experience for every customer. Today, we wanted to extend that experience to @heidibillotto.

While we plan to gift Ms. Heidi some delicious cookies, we also wanted to include a few amazing finds from the South End Market @southendmarketclt

Ms. Heidi is the epitome of generosity and what it truly means to support small businesses.
Businesses like The Michael’s Place depend on customers like her. We love her energy and the way she consistently show up for us and so many small businesses across the Charlotte community.
Thanks Ms. Heidi!

When I travel or move to a new place, one of the first things I do is look for the things that matter most to me. Businesses that align with my lifestyle and values. Sustainable, eco-friendly, and thoughtful.

That usually means health food stores, refilleries and vegan/gluten-free spots. So as soon as we arrived in our new city, I went searching for a place where I could buy my everyday essentials without the waste.

I found Ekologicall, and Valerie was incredibly kind. She even arranged a delivery to one of her local partner shops so I could get what I needed right away. I picked up a natural toilet bowl cleaner, laundry pods, a bamboo pot scraper, dryer balls, and eucalyptus steamers.

And then came the part that truly got me. A sweet little gift and a handwritten note. 💌 Completely the way to my heart.

I am so grateful and beyond excited to have found this lovely business. It means I can continue doing my small part to minimize my footprint in my tiny corner of the world.

Now I want to hear from you.
Do you refill? ♻️💚

DAYDREAM! Someone pinch us?! ♡ We are absolutely HONORED to be included amongst the list of movers, makers + shakers making the refillery movement possible in NC! When chatting with a customer recently + inquiring how they found us…she pointed us in the direction of what ✨ pops-up ✨ when searching “refilleries near me.”

Led to the @refillerycollective + their “Find Your Local Refill Store” prompt, that’s just how she stumbled across our shop! Refill stores help you eliminate disposable packaging by refilling your containers over and over again. ♻️

Alongside @fillmoreburnsville, @thelaundry.collective, @tothebrimrefill, @therefillerylkn and @ekologicall, we’re so grateful to be a part of the NC movement! Check it out!
