Ganz tief aus meiner Fotokiste.... April 2022.

"Emma Maersk" liegt am Eurogate Terminal im Waltershofer Hafen.
Die Einführung dieses Schiffstyps war ein großer Sprung im Wachstum der Containerschiffe.
400m Länge, 14.700 TEU Kapazität und 26kn Geschwindigkeit gab es vorher einfach noch nicht. Heute wissen wir, es war ein Zwischenschritt zu den Megamax24.

The former government ship named after the river INN is 15.6 meters long, the 6-cylinder MAN ship’s diesel has an output of 170 kW. It was built in 1957 in the #korneuburg shipyard. The small vehicle once belonged to the fleet of the Austrian waterway administration, a total of four units of this type were built and in public service: the sister ships were named „Marchegg“, „Enns“ and „Erlauf“. Ship „Marchegg“ is ready for use in the port of Luberegg, „Enns“ & „Erlauf“ have been spotted during restoration work on land in Bad Deutsch-Altenburg in recent years. All are privately owned by boat enthusiasts.
Barge Inn is participating in the Korneuburg Harbor Festival, which takes place every September in the former shipyard harbor. Have a wonderful festival and a wonderful #krandonnerstag.

The motor barge Jaguar was built in 1962 in the Pape shipyard, Rönnebeck, Bremen in Germany. The 86 meter long bulk cargo ship used to be known as Kuguar, but the inland waterway cargo ship is currently registered in Regensburg and sails under the German flag. An 800 hp MWM engine provides propulsion, here the cargoship is moored at Pischelsdorf / Donauchemie. Have a good Trip and a nice #krandonnerstag!
