Putting this race number on felt incredibly special after a difficult year. 🌺

Of course, I had dreamed of a different result. But despite everything, race day was special in its own way.

I struggled on the bike from the very beginning, not realising I was riding 180 km with just 1 bar of pressure in my tyre. 😅 Thank goodness for tubeless technology, which somehow got me to T2. There were quite a few moments out there when I seriously doubted I’d make it!

At some point, I decided to stop fighting the day and simply enjoy it. To take in the incredible crowds, the amazing people cheering us on, and the fact that I was actually here, racing on this island. 🌴

Because Hawaii has a way of putting things into perspective. It makes you dream big, but it also keeps you humble.

Reached the finish line- P26 🌍🌺 for now

More than anything, I’m proud of myself. Proud of the journey I’ve taken this year, of everything it took to get here, and of the person I’ve become along the way.

And I’m incredibly grateful for all the support, input and belief from @philippseipp and the team at @kick.ass.sports . Thank you for being part of this journey!

Now it’s time to get back to work. A winter full of learning, building and chasing the better lies ahead.

I’ll be back, Hawaii. And next time, I want to show you what I’m truly capable of. 🔥🌺

From Kalmar to Kona 🌺

Ironman Kalmar — 5th place, and with it the very last opportunity for a slot for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. 🇸🇪➡️🌺

This result means even more when I look at the journey behind it. It’s no secret that I struggled with several (health) issues over the winter and haven’t raced so far this season.

10 weeks ago, I could get back to a training rhythm and started working with a new coach. Even though our time together has been short, the impact has already been huge — new input, a fresh perspective, and a lot of trust. Thank you @philippseipp

Racing an Ironman as my first race back felt uncertain at times, and the day had everything: a fun swim, a stunning bike course, and eventually settling into pure survival mode on the run. Congrats to all finisher of yesterdays race, especially the strong women in front of me: @laura_philipp_tri @katrine.grasboll.christensen @jackiemhering @jennyjendryschik 🙌🏻

But above all, I’m just grateful to be back on a start line — and to cross a finish line like this again.

5th place. Hawaii, here we come. 🌺

Winter wasn’t exactly wonder time — more like wondering what on earth I was doing (or not doing).

Not easy, but necessary. Now it’s time to reset and rebuild.
