Inside the Cartoon Universe of Aesop Rock’s New Album Justin “Coro” Kaufman imagined Aesop Rock and Blockhead’s “Trouble Mountain” as a ski resort where a yeti wanders past the lodge and a polar bear drinks with the guests. He drew on Bob Peak’s movie posters and old vinyl sleeves, leaving small jokes and strange encounters across both covers. The artist used halftone printing effects and subtle distressing outside, then switched to fine ink hatching for the vinyl’s inner artwork. His drawings also move in the video for “Trouble Trouble,” the first single from the album, due November 13.
