friday the 13th // the holy mother ❦𖦹𓆙

If you have attended these circles in the past, this year we will go beyond the stripping down of programmed fear and move even deeper into the holy number 13, and the myths and archetypes that can serve as reminders of our own paths of descension and ascension.

Through our time together we will explore Sophia’s fall and her 13 turnings toward the light, the underworld with Persephone, and Path 13 of the Qabalah, the path of the High Priestess. These explorations will be woven with conversation, chanting, song, embodied movement, an Earthly Mother ritual, and meditation.
 Fear, like a descent, will come, as it always does, whether from within or from outer programming. The choice is how we meet it and move through it, without needing to dominate another. We get to choose what we allow into our field. And there will be times it doesn’t feel like we have a choice at all. The practice is remembering that we do, even when it’s small, and then making it with our divine awareness. Sometimes that means choosing to consciously fall apart while staying devoted and connected to our inner knowing and light, so that even in the depths of despair, it remains.

Boy oh boy, what a trip around the sun ~

A year marked equally by grief and beauty.

I’ve been feeling immensely tender the past few days as I move into 32 feeling wholly different from the year before.

And simultaneously more myself than I’ve ever been.

While I endured loss and dismemberment of many aspects of myself and my life, I have also experienced some of the greatest joys.

I fell deeply in love. I rooted into community and relationships that feel like soul family. I deepened into my familial and ancestral ties.

I began tending to a garden and nurturing my connection with the earth. I returned to ancestral homelands on a women’s pilgrimage.

And I began the journey of initiating into motherhood. I lack language large enough to describe how transformative (and humbling) the journey has already been.

It is such a gift to create life and feel held by so much love, as I enter this next chapter. Phew.

Last years MM Feast Day still opens our heart, sending goosebumps through our body when we think of the immense presence of love felt when we joined together invoking her name.

Last weekend I sat in Temazcal ceremony in México, tears rolling down my cheeks like a small iridescent wave — the ache of my maternal lineage moving through me. Layers of intergenerational trauma and patterns I acknowledge and choose to no longer carry.
 And my niece was born over the weekend. I do this work for her, for me, for my mother, my grandmothers, my ancestors who couldn’t, or didn’t know how — and for the ones who did, whose medicine I’m learning to carry forward, whose stories I continue to uncover.

Through this season a returning home is unfolding, returning to the practices and people that nourish us, to the home within us and the home we’ve made for ourselves, a deepening into our ancestry and capacity to receive - pleasure, prayer and help from others,   I’m witnessing both ends of the threshold more deeply lately, as so much new and growing life arrives and surrounds me, I am also witnessing life ending, transitions into the next dance. My heart and body making space for the grief and the glory. Different doorways to the same sacred stillness where Gods and Guides are felt.   Shepherding into death and life all at once.  
July is expansive with circle offerings this month, spaces where we can hold these liminal thresholds together — to honor, to heal, and to receive life’s pleasures even when there is pain, as a soul in this body 🤎🌊🌬️🌞

Some moments and reflections: Ireland March 2026 pt1🌼

Thank you to @medicinariocosmico for curating such a holistic, honest, and enriching pilgrimage for us.

We visited many holy wells, saw crows/ravens nesting and mating, had a forest tea party beside Brigid’s well and met a real life mermaid fairy, learned from the vibrant yellow Goarse, ate like queens thanks to Rosie, were supported and inspired by @amber_voner , learned how to hidle-Dee-didle-Dee from @amanoanseo 🎶, educated on the history and folklore of the land

And so much more!

Each and every woman I encountered on this journey reflected back the beauty and wisdom of the land in some way and for that I thank you. 🌼

We are the harmonium
Each woman crying out in keening
We are the circle that becomes a spiral
expanding in all directions

Step by step from source downwards

The land holding us as we flow
inward and outward and at times bursting
each our own rivers; a web nourishing the earth flowing our own ways but together.

and maybe we will meet the sea,
or spring up into a well,
Where ever the course make take us
one day we will each live on in vapor ~regenerating.

We will say the names, never forgotten, we remember.
