Up the ab intensity with this core Pilates sequence 🩵

1. Ribcage Closure & Curl Up with alternate Single Knee Fold - get your abs working as you combine these two familiar exercises, engaging through the core as you curl up and bring the knee in. Hold the band with a bit of tension between your hands to help your proprioception and activate your arms and shoulders.
2. Double Arm Flies with the band and alternate Knee Openings - your aim is to maintain a stable torso and pelvis as you alternate knee openings whilst pulling the band apart.
3. Single Leg Stretch into the band with Curl Up and wide arms - working to maintain a flexed spine and neck whilst pressing your legs into the band alternately will really engage your abs.
4. Double Leg Stretch into the band in a Curl Up with wide arms - less coordination challenge than no. 3 but more resistance from the band!
5. Criss Cross - a firm favourite that asks you to coordinate the movement of your legs whilst simultaneously rotating your spine and neck.

I have some exciting news to share with you all. After 9 years and 3 months of balancing teaching alongside my other business, I’ve recently taken the plunge; I am officially a full-time Pilates teacher!

Teaching and exploring movement with you has been my true passion, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to devote my time and energy to Shoreline Pilates. There’s nothing more rewarding than to see my clients overcome challenges or improve their health, with my support.

A fascinating evening with local residents in Puglia, where @maevekrbrennan had been invited to share her film, Siticulosa as part of a special community event at the Chiesa Santa Maria di Vereto in Patù.

Siticulosa investigates the impact of underground excavations on Apulian archaeological heritage, bringing out often invisible connections between history, environment and memory.

A friend suggested we attend, and we're pleased we did. Thank you Maeve, and best wishes to Toby #BostonLincolnshire
