Boycey are back in headline action on Thursday 23rd May at Ram Jam Records in Kingston. This is an independent venue described as an "iconic intimate juke joint hidden away behind the Grey Horse in Kingston. The venue say "our back-alley speakeasy. We are a 3 minute walk from Kingston Station, which is 30 minutes from London Waterloo. Its a paradise for artists, expect to find intimate shows by candlelight and independent venue vibes", which makes it "one of South London's most unique nights out. We are wheelchair accessible". Strangely enough, it is coming up to almost exactly 30 years ago that Moyk played what was previously the back room of The Grey Horse! It was a memorable night in that the performers managed the sound desk, Moyk took a collection for the main act and then a man appeared at the end of the evening announcing himself as the "Sound Man" and asking for payment! By this stage the bucket of cash had long gone and, being young and green, Moyk spluttered an apology and said he would be back to settle up. Well turns out it wasn't a complete lie, but keep a look out for any old disgruntled sound men...!

Also on the bill are:-

Sparrows are an indie rock band from London influenced by the likes of Blondie, The Sundays and Big Thief.

The Elegant Chasers - Just like on Foo Fighters' debut album there is only 1 mastermind behind them, Maz Loizou. Having been made redundant Maz retrained as a fire alarm engineer in '20. Feeling cheated & exhausted he'd write songs around a derelict London. First 4 singles received over 10000 streams on Spotify. Debut Album Sentimental Dust released 8/7/22. But The Chasers are back with a bang in 2024!

Charlie Ali is an 18 year old Teddington musician. He plays acoustic guitar covers, as well as originals and has enjoyed playing the RJR open mic previously, His musical inspirations include, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Donovan, Nick Drake and many more...
