You thought the heavy set was the hard part 💀

Enter ✨️ Contrast training ✨️

Heavy strength movement –> explosive movement = power, explosiveness, and athleticism ⚡️

Here: Heavy Bulgarian split squats –> Bulgarian split squat jumps.

Same movement pattern but with a different demand on the nervous system.

First time attempting Russian dips, and it was pretty fun until I got a little bit too confident...

Then it was just funny 😅🤣

Another Cali Club for The HERd in the books 🤍💪🏼☀️

A day full of movement, challenges, encouragement, big laughs, and even bigger energy 🙌🏼💫

Watching these women support, celebrate, and push each other is one of my favourite parts of coaching. The progress is incredible, but the community we're building? That's the real strength 🫶🏼

Until the next one... 🐆

Jump higher with these 3 exercises 👇🏼

1️⃣ Kneeling jump to pogo jump
2️⃣ Kneeling jump to box jump
3️⃣ Bulgarian split squat box jump

Plyometrics training your body to produce force quickly, which, in turn, helps improve your vertical jump.

Everyone wants the "secret" to becoming stronger.

The truth is, it's in the basics.

Pull. Push. Brace. Control.

Master the basics and the strength will follow.

Repetition may seem boring, but it's how true strength is built.

Are you focused on mastering the basics?

Coaches coaching coaches 👊🏽

The learning never stops 📚

It is always so humbling to be a beginner again. Even more so under the guidance of someone with way more knowledge & experience than you. Kettlebells have been a tricky one for me, so this was a true test of grit and patience.

Thank you for the lessons, coach @raph_bruv_meng !
Here's to getting better every day! 🔥

My shoulders were on fire for DAYS after this!!

Training one side at a time (unilaterally) can reveal strength deficits that bilateral exercises often hide.

Here's why you should add unilateral exercises to your training programme:
• Identifies side-to-side strength differences
• Challenges stability and coordination
• Develops anti-rotation core strength
• Improves force production through each limb independently

If one side is significantly weaker, your body will usually find a way to compensate.
Unilateral work helps expose those compensations so you can address them and ultimately become even stronger 💪🏼
