POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It's only been a couple months so far but I can already say that I am so lucky to work with such a great team!

@elem_usa does amazing work and I'm proud to promote their cause: helping at-risk and increasingly vulnerable young people in Israel get support and know that they are never alone.

https://www.mako.co.il/men-men_news/Article-cff68be212a21a1027.htm

This International Youth Day, IAJF would like to highlight a few of our recipient organizations that support youth and young adults in the United States and in Israel.

ELEM / Youth in Distress in Israel: ELEM works with youth and young adults facing trauma, homelessness, and emotional crisis in Israel. While sponsoring since 2002, this year IAJF has been proud to directly support the Kiryat Shmona center as individuals return to northern Israel, where ELEM will continue to be guide vulnerable youths to a safe, productive future.

Beit Ruth for Young Women & Girls At Risk: IAJF is honored to sponsor Beit Ruth’s therapeutic youth village and school empowering vulnerable and at-risk girls. Through a safe home environment, specialized education, and long-term care, Beit Ruth enables young women to heal from trauma, thrive academically and emotionally, and break the cycle of violence for future generations.

American Jewish Committee’s Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT): AJC’s Leaders for Tomorrow empowers hundreds of Jewish high school students nationally with the support, guidance, and tools that teens need to build confident identities, stand up to antisemitism, and become advocates for the Jewish people and Israel, on campus and beyond. IAJFNY is the main sponsor of AJC Long Island’s LFT program.

We are thrilled to host a conversation with documentary filmmaker and Holocaust historian Dr. Ruth Ann Kalish. As Associate Director of the documentary film COMPLICIT and Director of the SS St. Louis Legacy Project Foundation, she has spent over 20 years researching Holocaust history.

During these years, Ruth has explored and presented findings about Holocaust-era looted art, cultural and artistic evidence from the concentration camps, and governmental response to the Jewish refugees in Europe. She has also had the honor of organizing the
70th anniversary event for the survivors of the SS St. Louis and the US State Department event to honor and apologize to the SS St. Louis survivors.

Ruth will join us twice during the week of April 13 in both Boynton Beach and Boca Raton. RSVP at ELEM.org/Florida. (Link in bio.)
