a lot has transpired in the last year. and through it all, I do not regret any decision I have made. If anything, I wish I could go back and say “thank you” to my past self for giving me permission to try, fail, succeed and be seen doing all three.

over the last year, I dedicated time to developing my vision of what life could look like as an artist. I dedicated time to develop community and become a community member. A true member - one who shows up, celebrates, listens, shares, encourages and holds space for accountability.

One year ago, I wanted something quick - followers, attention, immediate results. How funny lol. bc my original desires were superficial I was going no where fast. After reevaluation, acceptance, and alignment, I realized that this experience I am living is a journey; there is no way to speed up the process to get “there”, wherever “there” is.

There is only right here and right now. The present is the most important moment; I had to learn to sit in and accept my reality, regardless of what it felt or looked like.

Since then, my vision has changed, my community and confidence has grown, my sense of style has shifted (and it reflects my changing, creative perspective), and though sometimes my desire to be anywhere else other than where I am creeps up on me, it is moments of reflection like this that remind me of how far I have come and how much my vision has come to life. I could. Bc of this life I live, gratitude lives and breathes as I do.
