So many people to thank ✨ Another year of Gear Up and Glow in the books, and what a full-circle moment this one was. This year we hit a brand new milestone — our very FIRST ever Back to School Block Party. Through community, support, and a dream we refused to let go of, we donated 600+ backpacks — thanks to an incredible partnership with Learning & Educational Solutions Inc, and an impromptu, day-of partnership with Friendship Baptist Church. None of this would have been possible without every vendor, sponsor, and donor who showed up for this initiative. From t-shirts to music, to bouncy houses, to capturing content — every single one of you poured into this vision and helped bring it to life. Swipe through to see just some of the amazing people and organizations that made this happen 👉🏽 Be sure to follow and check out every tagged vendor, sponsor, and donor below — they showed up in a major way and deserve every bit of your support. Go show them love. 💛 #GearUpAndGlow #BackToSchoolBlockParty #ATBPFamily #CommunityOverCompetition #EducationAdvocacy

Come walk this journey with of our first Block Party🎒✨ This was Gear Up and Glow’s very first Back to School Block Party — and honestly, being able to walk around and see it all come to life in real time is something I’ll never forget. From the DJ and the selfie booth, to the vendors and community tables, to kids running around with their new backpacks in hand — every corner of this event was full of joy, purpose, and community. We set out to hit our backpack goal and ended up blowing right past it — 600+ backpacks got into the hands of NYC students, thanks to an incredible partnership with Learning & Educational Solutions Inc (LES), and an impromptu, day-of partnership with Friendship Baptist Church. This was months of planning, sleepless nights, and a whole lot of faith — and watching it unfold on the ground made every bit of it worth it. Swipe/watch to see it all through my eyes 🎥💛 #GearUpAndGlow #BackToSchoolBlockParty #ATBPFamily #CommunityOverCompetition educationadvocacy

if you missed the Tipsy Spelling Bee at @lipscafe__ with @forthekinfolk , idk what to tell you 🐝🍹 y’all really turned spelling into a whole sport. drinks in hand, brains somehow still working, and everyone way too competitive over words we haven’t used since middle school 😭 the judges were not playing, the crowd was not playing, and somebody won even after they lost the first round (don’t ask lol) we laughed, we sipped, we spelled (poorly, in some cases). 10/10 vibes, would do again. see yall at the next one? 👀 COMMENT if you see yourself! content by: @elevatebold #gearupandglow #astoldbyphi #tipsyspellingbee
