We had an awesome time out on the water tonight where Austin Orr joined us for a casting clinic! From learning the ropes to landing fish, our members spent the evening improving their skills, making new friends, and having plenty of fun along the way!

BIG thanks to Austin for sharing his knowledge and helping make it such a great evening! Here’s to more fish, friendships, and days on the water!

Huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing sponsors and donors!! We could not do this without your generosity and support and you guys are making a real difference in the lives of Green Berets and their families all over the world 👏🏼

We are locked and loaded for year 6 and can’t wait to see all of you there! Weather is looking GOOD and fall fishing should be on 🔥.

Still a few team spots left if you wanna make last minute plans and come party with us in POC 🍻

After a quick session out with my good friend @jameskirsten and two clients, Jordan and @marcel.staffe , we managed to hook 5 GTs and land 4 — all fish over a meter! 🔥🎣

It was absolutely wild. 🤯 A place like this is impossible to describe — you have to experience it yourself to understand what a real Jurassic Park for GTs looks like! 🦖

New @tfo_south_africa moment, and the @airflo_africa GT line did the job perfectly! 💪🎣

A gentle release on a special fish! Was truly a gift to share the boat with Austin and John Kelly last week. Surely more pictures to come from that day, stay tuned!

@borrachopescador is almost here and we are coming, ready to play. We’ll be hanging out all weekend, putting some rods in people’s hands and kicking off Friday with a casting competition alongside Austin Orr of @elevateflycasting

We’ve got an 8wt NAM + Einarsson combo and a Sight Line Provisions bracelet up for grabs for the winner.

Good people, good fishing and a little competition mixed in. See y’all at Borracho #15.

Teamwork | TX Amazing day on the water with Elissa and full-time fly casting instructor extraordinaire Austin Orr @elevateflycasting Elissa has been working with Austin throughout her fly fishing journey and that work continued on the water in “real world” applications making amazing casts, quick adjustments to fish behavior and deliberate decision making that paid huge dividends. All that work shows and made for a magical day! @elevateflycasting is available for casting instruction across the U.S. and on the water during your next charter. #portaransasflyfishing #elevateflycasting #redfishonfly #saltwaterflyfishing

Turns out fly casting is a lot harder than it looks... but so much fun. Last Saturday, SOTW San Antonio members spent the morning learning the art of fly casting from one of the best in the game, @elevateflycasting. Whether it was your first time picking up a fly rod or you’ve been fly fishing for years, everyone walked away with new tricks.

Huge thanks to Austin Orr of @elevateflycasting for an awesome lesson, @grueneoutfitters for hooking us up with top-notch gear, and @muckandfuss for having us afterward for a social hour. We had an absolute blast and can’t wait to do it again. 🎣

Fly fishing for redfish on the Texas coast is a precision game. Sight casting to tailing fish in ankle-deep water, reading the mud, watching the push. It demands patience and accuracy. The 2026 Rockport Fly Fishing trip is live and only 2 spots remain.
