Hey, I’m Whitney!

I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in South Louisiana, a wife, and mama to two sweet boys. My love for photography began with my grandpa’s film camera and grew into a passion for capturing beautiful light, meaningful connections, and all the little moments that make life so special.

I just spent a few days at Kinetic Experiences, and I’m still coming down from it in the best way.

I went in expecting meaningful networking and strong education, but I didn’t fully anticipate how much it would reset my energy and perspective.

The education sessions played a big role in that. They weren’t just informative; they created space to step back from the day-to-day and look at my business with fresh perspective. Less about adding new tactics, and more about reconnecting with intention - what I’m building, and how I want to show up in it.

And the connections were just as impactful. Real conversations with people who are deeply rooted in this industry, who understand the work, and who are building with similar levels of care and intention. Nothing surface-level, just genuine alignment and shared understanding.

I left with something I didn’t realize I needed: renewed energy. Not just ideas, but a real spark to refine, refocus, and move forward with more clarity than I had before.

It’s hard to fully articulate, but it’s the part I’m holding onto most.

This past week was all about taking some time to refresh creatively and build for what is to come in the next chapter of @elevation_films

One of my favorite parts of this experience was some of the amazing people I got to connect with and learn from. By day 3 we all felt like family and nobody wanted to leave. I’m so excited for what the future holds in store and hope to see many of you again soon!

Can’t believe it’s already been a week since @kineticexperiences ✨

I know it looks like a lot of fun (because it is), but what really stays with me are the people. The conversations, the shared ideas, the kind of energy that reminds you why you love what you do in the first place.

Being in a room full of wildly talented creatives never gets old. Every time, I leave feeling inspired, challenged, and a little more in awe of this industry and the people in it.

Coming back to @kineticexperiences this year felt different in the best way.

The last time I was here, I was stepping into something new and this year I was invited again to help be on staff led by my good friend Samantha at @houseofjoy.co , and that meant more than I can really put into words.

As a wedding planner, I care deeply about what a space feels like. Not just how it looks. Being part of an experience where the intention is to create room for connection, for honesty, for people to show up fully as themselves… that is the kind of work that fills me up, and doing it for those that usually are the ones making these kinds of rooms happen? Even better. And getting to watch it happen in real time, with people laughing, learning, and just enjoying being together, is something extraordinary.

What always gets me about Kinetic is the people. So much talent in one room that it almost doesn’t make sense. Even having experienced it before, it still blows my mind. I have admired so many of these creatives from afar, and it never gets old meeting those who are pushing this industry forward in ways that feel so genuine and inspiring.

Feeling really grateful to have been part of this again. And already counting down until the next one.
