Just wrapped up three jam-packed days at @thehideawaympls recording our second full-length album. There’s lots more to get done, but the foundation has been laid and we’re so excited to share what we captured over these few days. Huge shoutout to @thehideawaympls for providing such a great creative environment and @danewards_audio for working his magic in the control room. Stay tuned for some BTS footage from this session coming soon! 📸 - @dremmerd_

Sundays in November will be curated by experimental jazz fusion collective Room3 [@room3collective]. Operating most commonly as a five-piece, with Eli Awada on keyboards, Wormdove (aka Beck Anderson) on bass, RAWTWHYLAH (aka Colin Mitchell) on drums, Evan Espinoza Robles on percussion and Mike Green on guitar, Room3’s music is rooted in tradition yet driven by experimentation. They channel improvisation in their performances, with shows that are “high-energy, fun, and loose” according to MSP Mag [@mspmag]. 11.01 — The Room3 rhythm section will be joined by Laeton Olaleye [@olaleyelaeton] — an up-and-coming jazz saxophone phenom — for a night of straight-ahead classics and reimagined standards, from the bebop era to today. For fans of John Coltrane, Kenny Garrett, and Immanuel Wilkins. 11.08 — The Room3 quintet will pull from its own book of jazz fusion standards and deep cuts, honoring the legendary groups that have informed their sound. For fans of Chick Corea, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Frank Zappa. 11.22 — The Room3 rhythm section will team up with locally cherished keyboardist and producer Kevin Gamble for a night of hip-hop and neo-soul medleys. A rotating cast of local emcees and vocalists will join the quartet at various points throughout the night. For fans of J Dilla, Erykah Badu, and D’Angelo. 11.29 — The Room3 quintet will close out their November residency at Berlin with an all-originals night to celebrate the recent recording of their second full-length album. The group will dig up rare tunes from their early catalog and test out a handful of brand-new compositions. For fans of Return to Forever, Thundercat, and Spirit Fingers.

Hey students! 🍎 Its Flavor Jam: Back to School this Wednesday (9/16), and we are shooting class photos, arts n crafts, a sammy lett spelling bee (with a twist), and of course we’ll be jamming too. ——— Flavor Jam, at its core, is an open jam and artist meet up hosted by Flavor World at Greenroom in Uptown, Minneapolis. We offer the opportunity to jam with friends on the big stage, or make some art at our arts and crafts table, and we have video games on the big screen too! We work to create a fun, casual, and FREE space for the community to gather around art and friends. Flavor Jam is hosted monthly on the third Wednesday of each month. Event 7-10:30pm Wednesday, September 16th FREE!!!! No cover. At Greenroom @greenroommpls All are welcome!!! Let’s all gather and hangout and meet each other! #community #minneapolis #stpaul #openjam #minneapolismusic flavorworld

The first roll of film I’ve had developed since switching to digital a couple years ago. Loaded it at the @flavorworld_ Art Share, finished the roll that night, and @_offtheinternet developed it in house before I left. These scans also by Lucas - what can’t he do?? My favorite film on my favorite camera - Delta 3200 on the Pentax 67. Ten exposures and the truth. If god was an aspect ratio, she would be 6x7.
