To the team that’s given me everything when I thought I had nothing:

No words can begin to even describe the absolute, love, gratitude, passion, and pride I have for this team. We made this program what it is today. Five years ago, we had nothing, just an idea. But through sheer will, effort, and commitment, we left this program better than we found it and set a higher standard. While it didn’t end how we wanted it to, we made this team into a family. Being there for eachother when we needed it the most and showing love to everyone around us. I’m grateful I was able to leave my mark on this family and lead the way to a better future. Thank you, for trusting me as your captain these last 4 years and allowing me to grow with you all. To my fellow seniors, I love you more than words can fathom and I will always cherish the memories we made; and to my underclassmen, I love yall too, the sky’s the limit and i believe in you all. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

While this chapter of my athletic journey has closed, a new one will begin.

Did we have fun at young life? As Tony (Kadin Velez) would say, “HECK YEAH!!!”.

I will forever be grateful to have been given this opportunity to share these few days with these incredible people. We made amazing bonds and unforgettable memories in such a short amount of time it’s all so surreal. Although it’s over, the moments we spent will still replay in my mind and every one of you will always hold a special place in my heart.

To my younglife family, I love you all, and I can’t wait to see you all at Windy Gap. 🫶🏼

YOUNG LIFE CAMP RECAP!!💯

At first, I wasn’t planning on going on the Young Life trip, but something hit me and told me I needed to go. I didn’t know why at the time, but looking back, it was the best decision ever. Young Life camp changed my life in amazing ways. Getting to know the guys on a deeper spiritual level had a huge impact on my faith. We had so much fun throughout the week, from singing until I lost my voice (haha) to learning more about the Word of God with a fresh perspective.

One of the things Chris mentioned was how we tend to turn our backs on God and those who care about us. This really hit me, especially when he had us turn around and see all the people supporting us. He also asked what words we’d write on our mirrors to describe the “full life” we desire, using Mark 4:35-41 as an example. It made me realize that what I’ve been missing in my life is joy, patience, faith, wisdom, and hope.

The guys in my cabin were just great all around. Even though I only knew 2 out of the 9 guys at first, the bonds we formed throughout the week grew stronger and it felt like I had known them forever. I’m really grateful for this experience and the brotherhood we built.
